Cant wait for this...I did enjoy the first even tho it was slightly gory in parts and the story took a little while to get going

Lauren German, Bijou Philips and Heather Matarazzo are offering themselves up for punishment in Hostel 2.

Following the premise of Eli Roth's horror hit, the sadistic sequel will follow the misfortunes of a trio of female foreign students awaiting a similar fate as it transpires that the first film's hostel was not the only one of its kind.

Should they sign up, German will play a wealthy girl, Philips her best friend and Matarazzo a hanger-on, The Hollywood Reporter says.

Filming is scheduled to begin next month in Slovakia.

I don't mind gore and stuff as long as there's a point to it and it's not there just for show. But for anyone who hasn't seen the unrated version of 'The Hills Have Eyes' you haven't seen anything yet. The Hills... is the only movie I've ever seen where I almsot turned it off because it was too much to watch...

The problem I found with Hostel was that the torture and killings were really just for fun. This is why Saw appeals to me; at least Jigsaw has a reason and one that I can go along with.

However, there was one part in the film that I absolutely loved.

When one of the torturers ended up cutting his own leg off.

Priceless, loved it. And yes, I will still probably see Hostel 2.

I was cringing up until that bit when I started to laugh....I thought he would do something like that because he had the shakes

Maybe Jigsaw and Hostel could join forces for the ultimate horror :shifty:

I enjoyed hostel. It was a good movie with a decent story line. People ARE sadistic like this. They do get off on pain of others. This was a wild ride because it was slow in developing like in a real like situation. A group of guys for summer go out to see Europe. They party everywhere. Get caught up in some sick **** and need to get out.

meh, the first one was so boring I fast forwarded parts just to get the jist of the film. Such a lame movie.

yeah, god forbid a film delve into a little character development so that when the **** hits the fan, you actually give a crap about the characters that are taking the abuse.

if you just want straight up splatter, there are plenty of movies like that.

\to each his own, though

I enjoyed the first movie, however I don't think there's much room for a sequal.

it's not so much a sequel as it is "another story".

it's not like any characters from the first will be returning.

:| I cant understand how can someone "enjoy" with a movie like this. Now a second is comming. Weird/scary people...
