New Ibooks And Powerbooks

what do u expect will be featured in the new powerbooks and ibooks that are rumored to be coming out as early as this week, some sites are saying that there will be a price drop and speed boost, but it will have to be more than just a speed boost to woo ppl to the powerbook of course ;)

i would like to see a gig of ram max for the ibook (if its possible) and 1.5 or 2 gigs max for the powerbook, it would be pretty sweet.

At powerpage.org they were showing what will be featured in the upcoming ibook update...

i know that the G4 processor has faster architecture than the P4 or AMD stuff, but other people just don't see that.

I'm expecting what every news site has been expecting, including CNET. 100 mhz speed bumps and a $200 price drop across the board for iBooks. This would bring the entry level iBook to under $1000.

I agree. Nothing big, but under 1000 is pretty attractive.

I'm glad Apple is advancing more and more everyday. I really want an iBook it's just i don't have the money. And PowerBooks are WAY to expensive....

Well, considering a lowend mac desktop is a dual 867mhz, aka a 1.75 ghz machine. I think they're doing fine Ghz to Ghz wise :)

I think the iBook looks even better now. I can't wait until they get some refurb machines in :D

i've been planning to buy a Powerbook before christmas but the iBook looks like a bargain now. so what do i get man.. powerbook?ibook?powerbook?ibook?

iBook is a little bit girlish imo.. but Powerbook is relatively extremely expensive compared to the new iBook. :( :cry: :wacko: :cry: :( :no:

i've used ibooks quite a bit lately, theyre pretty nice to use, but using the keyboard needs time to get used to..like all laptop keyboards

i heard $200 price cut, 100 MHz speed bump and the middle line ibook will be bumped up to a 32MB video card upgrade

ive been plan on getting an ibook for awhile now, i hope they follow through with this.
