[help] display properties won't open

yes that is right... when i right click and selected properties on desktop it does nothing same thing when i try to do it through control panel... im thinking i'll have to take the files that its for from my xp cd but, i don't know what files controls the display properties.

I've got that problem a few times before, try shutting off the system and then trying it again, if that doesn't work then you may have to look at doing a restore, or a reinstall. Normally when you reboot it fixes the problem.

The file is disp.cpl, just replace it from Setup CD.

That is desk.cpl. :)

that was a typo, yes! its desk.cpl

nevermind... i had to end up taking ownership of my files on this HD put them on my 5 gig then reformat no thanks to BSOD. thanks for the help though!
