Be noted that this doesn't come with a uninstaller that removes it completely (yet). You might be left with the boot screen, icons and few other elements after its removal.

To get rid of those, I tried repairing windows which didn't work and I ended up formatting.

Until that is fixed, perhaps installing RC1 on another partition is the ideal thing to do, to get the real (v?)experience.

Vista Stick Media Player Skin.

Version 1.0.8

I decided to make a miny version of the newest WindowsMediaPlayer, but ended up with this.

All graphics have been recreated, except the Play and Pause buttons.

Small Windows Media Player 11 style tittle bar. Interchanging Artist, Song and Albume Text. WMP11 Look-a-like progress bar with redesigned thumbs.

Skin has been tested on WindowsMediaPlayer 10 and WindowsMediaPlayer 11 (Both on Windows XP and Vista).

-Font

The font Calibri has been included to work correctly with skin. If using WindowsXP please install in C:\Windows\fonts if not already installed. If you are using Windows Vista please don't install anything.

WindowsMediaPlayer 11 Toolbar by ~juanchis

The small and simple toolbar skin when the player is minimized is now a skin.

I liked the look of the player in when it was minmized and always wanted to move it around, so I make the skin. No images have been ported, all images have been remade.

A bug to report-

My pc has the Vista Pack 5.5 login screen. It also has 2 user accounts on it. The top user name, after clicking it and entering the password, moves to the right about 3cm, then diagonally left about 7cm, and then back to the centre of the screen. The bottom login moves about 3cm to the right, then gets chopped in half and moves to the centre of the screen again.

Good otherwise for me though :)

nice but does not really mod the look of VISTA. Vista startmenu does not show ICON. If it is possible to hide the icon, that will be complete VISTA looks.

Thansk, anyway :)

icon did show in user picture instead and that's why its's removed. In XP, we can't do that so I decided to keep it showing.

I read about a Transformation Pack 6.0 or 6.1 is it true ? :boo:

Yeah I've seen this on softpedia - not sure if this is the "official" updated version.

Can someone confirm?

Have done some digging about and looks legit enough, as windowx has it on his forum with external links including

the softpedia site download link. Am downloading now going to give it a whirl.

I downloaded from Softpedia "Vista Transformation pack v6 RC1" I don't know how many visual changes have because is my first install. I like it very much because it's very customizable (i.e. I didn't like the way the toolbar shows so I revert back to the xp toolbar keeping the vista look).

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
    • CPPC states can also be messed around with in most UEFI settings but aren't as robust as the ones that the Windows Scheduler can provide! Make sure you look into what your motherboard also has before customizing for the Windows Scheduler.
