This started to annoy me yesterday after watching a documentary about Kim Peek ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kim_Peek ). Basically he has a photographic memory. Remembers everything he has ever read, reads a page in 8 seconds and can read 2 pages, one with each eye. And can recall about 98% of the book.

Anywho, this memory thing started to annoy me. I knew I never had that good a memory, especially for learning stuff off when i was in school. I could rarely do it well and if i did, it would usually take ages to learn.

I tried to learn something yesterday (out of boredom) So i just grabbed a magazine and tried to see how many words i could remember after reading them. And even though i had just looked at, and read, 2 lines i couldn't recite them without looking back.

But its a strange thing not being able to recall something. Because as soon as i looked back.. I knew the lines and it didn't make sense that i could forget them. After all it was only 2 lines!!!

And yet i can remember so much stuff like music lyrics or movie scenes. Or even in my younger years when wwf wrestling was cool, I (and everyone else) would know all the names and maneuvers.

Anyone here have a good memory for learning stuff, or learnt to learn stuff faster and more efficiently???
