Xtorrent works great for me. It did crash once or twice while searching, but, hey, it's still in beta stage.

Transmission completely lost my interest because there's hardly any work being done on it's torrent core. It has a nice interface but lacks quality network abilities. Hopefully Xtorrent will proof to be different in the long run.

we need uTorrent for Mac.

I dont like any of the clients for Mac out there. Im going to try this one

If you have an Intel Mac, you can actually run it with CrossOver. I haven't tried it though.

I tried Xtorrent and I like it. Wouldn't pay for it though. It's nice to see all these new clients emerging. :)

Pretty sad that the devs of Transmission can't fix some simple bug fixes that's holding back a lot of mac users on private trackers.

Let's see if Dave can put something fresh out there that isn't Azureus or Tomato Torrent.

Btw, new bug fixes out. http://www.xtorrentp2p.com/releasenotes.php

Also, anyone have any experience with utorrent on crossover?

The way I read it was that Titer (the guy behind Transmission) wouldn't fix it rather than couldn't. Apparently he thinks it's fine, even if trackers are banning it.

After using Xtorrent since the first beta release & I'm pretty happy with the speeds so far. Had the odd crash but I guess that's to be expected of a beta. Hopefully new features will be added & it'll become stable with newer releases.

I'm currently using Public Beta 3 of Xtorrent, and I have to say I like it a lot better than Transmission at the moment. Unfortunately, there still doesn't appear to be any way of selecting individual files within a torrent, like nearly every other client does. Does anyone know if this is a planned feature for a future release?

I've been using this for about a month and I've already bought it and all future upgrades. Totally worth it, I absolutely believe it's the best torrent client for Mac.

Same :)

Love it, definitely the best torrent app i have used, even on windows.

Azureus is all there really is atm.

You really have no idea what uTorrent is? Pull your head out of your ass.

http://www.utorrent.com.

It puts all other clients to shame, including this one.

Unfortunately it isn't for mac.

Not with the recent merge with BitTorrent though.

Anyway, Xtorrent is the best client I've used since uTorrent and BitComet. The integrated search engine just works and is better than searching on the net.

Unfortunately, it isn't for Windows.
