Kde Taskbar Applet

ok i figured out how to do this with deleting your .kde dir (also it didn't work for me)

i believe the problem is because redhat made some parts for kicker to include the icons for the programs you install ie kmail, openoffice, web browser. But if you don't install them, the part of kicker that was supposed to display the icon doesn't disappear. So we are left with parts of kicker that have something there, but we can't see them.

anyways, go to ~/.kde/share/apps/config/kickerrc and edit the line under [general]

it should say sometihng like kmenubutton_1, servicebutton_2, servicebutton_3, etc...

delete the "servicebutton" entries and resart kicker before using it again.
