Battlefield 2142 Goes Gold!

EA and DICE are pleased to announce that Battlefield 2142 has gone gold. Meaning that after months of internal testing and balancing, the game has been handed over to the quality assurance team for final testing. Congratulations to everyone involved, and a big thank you to everyone involved in the Beta testing.

And this edition of battlefield has really been playtested a lot, i dont think it will have as many bugs as the current and previous ones did.

Hhahahah! Guess you didn't play the beta much. And considering the code from beta to gold wasn't changed much, yeah. GG.

Posting as news shortly.

I actually believe it's a reworked 1942 Engine, i may be wrong.

About that Boo(m)town review, ofcourse they like it. They pretty much like anything!

dont get me wrong, I think this will bomb. Its just funny how fantastic the game appears.

I played the beta not even a month ago and there was soo many problems, and not only that, but it just feels like BF2 with new skins. And thats disgusting to repackage that.

Maybe if it went gold next year, but so soon?

Must try harder DICE. There are people out there who need a job and your staff are taking up the pool.

    • I can name 10x that on why not to switch.... It's funny outlook/office are going towards web app wrappers, and then MS is now preaching native apps again.... ugh can we just pick a lane and stay in it
    • Absolutely NOBODY has suggested such a conclusion. I am affirming the sober reality check that AV2's overall market adoption will take longer than AV1's adoption rate -- which, by the way, is the whole point of the article! While PCI-SIG is productive (on paper), other WGs have created all sorts of confusing progress plans that consumers have tuned-out of their improvements... HTML/W3C, USB, HDMI, BT, WIFI (ieee802.11) as a few other groups where spec naming conventions, split progress paths, overlapping ambitions... I'm not critiquing the AV specs group; I'm simply affirming that adoption for AV2 faces headwinds beyond the macroeconomics of it all.
