I think the Ortiz v. Liddell fight will be pretty damn good. Fact is, Liddell isn't the quickest guy in the bunch, but his success is based on the fact he has uncanny timing with his punches. And he hits a ton. I mean, look at a lot of the fights he's been in, he just sits back, waits and pops you with a good hard one when you are off balance or trying to guard. He doesn't have impressive hand speed at all, but he sure as hell has the smarts to know when to hit you hard.

But I've seen Liddell go down big time in the K1 matches he fought overseas against guys that just straight blew his ass out of the water. It's interesting seeing some of the talent over there. There is a few Brazilians that would probably clean house in the States. I think one of them came over here, fighting in UFC now.

And to comment on the Hughes fight, he'll win. I mean, you can say he's arrogant, but every fighter in the business is smack talking pre-fight, it builds the ticket sales. Most of the time, Hughes is very respectable and shakes hands after fights, but pre-fight, what's he gonna say? "Gracie is awesome, I really just wanna go out there and do my best!" Lame, noone wants to hear that, people want to hear the smack talk and hype it up. And that's what happened in Gracie v. Hughes. Hughes is just a beast in

the Octagon, I don't know if he will ever go down this year.

this is a sissy sport... like wrestling.

i'll leave you 12yr olds to it :D

Ok Andy lad. Why don't you show everyone who likes the sport just how much of a 'sissy sport' it is. Get in-touch with UFC President Dana White, and ask him for a showdown with a fighter of your weight class. We'd love to see you prove everyone of us wrong

Did any of you see Rich Franklin get duffed up last weekend?...Silva is good

God-Damn Rappy, i most certainly did see it. I was 'gobsmacked' at how 'methodically' Silva took Franklin to pieces. You could see it in Franklins eyes that he knew he was in trouble.

Never before have i seen a more 'adept' practioner of Kickboxing. Up until that fight, i always thought Wrestlers, and BJJ fighters were always going to be the best at the sport of MMA. Jesus, just how wrong can i be ?

Am sure 'Ace' will be back - he's one of the most dedicated fighters in the sport, and am pretty sure he'll learn from his mistakes, although personally, he was just severely 'outclassed' by Silva on the night.

think i'll pass thanks, i don't like touching testicles :D:D

Yeah those knees were just clinical and even before the first round was over Franklin was outta of breath and couldnt stand up to Silva so he could just pick him off...I saw some other fights with Silva and he is brutal once he gets going.

Who's going to win Ortiz vs Liddell?...I would like to see Ortiz win but Liddell aint no Shamroc:D:D

I've got to give it to Chuck. For some reason, Ortiz just 'crumbles' against the very best in the division. He couldn't cope with Couture ( Remember the smacked arse he gave him ?) - Couture dominated him right from the off. He couldn't cope with Liddell's punching power either - remember how quickly he 'sank' under that awesome flurry of Chucks deadly fists ?.

I suppose we'll just have to 'wait and see' as to which 'Ortiz' will turn up. Will it be the one that's hungry, willing, powerful, dominating, and deadly, or will it indeed be the one that looks like he should've just stayed at home.

Whatever, i'm sure it will be one hell of a fight, and it's one that i'm very much looking forward to.

Before that though, Matt Hughes V George 'Rush' St Pierre. The excellent wrestling of Hughes Versus the lightning speed of St Pierre. Hughes has one over on him, so that might give him a 'psychological edge', but, on-the-other-hand, St Pierre looks hungry, and wants the title desperately. It's a tough one to call, and i don't really want to have to pick a winner.

Matt Hughes is pretty good...I would say Hughes will win there after the few fights I have seen him fight.

Ortiz could do really well but his interests are conflicted I think because he does some stuff for TNA Wrestling like refereeing and beating people up

Hughes is an absolute beast, and theres nothing more id like than to see him get beat by GSP.. but i dont think its going to happen.

GSP has been out injured for a while, and i think he needs a tune up match before this. Saying that though, last time Hughes/GSP fought, GSP was all over him, until the fight got stopped because Pierre was bleeding too much.

Im keeping my fingers crossed for GSP.

Lol, yeah, i saw him make an appearence on TNA as a 'special guest referee'. If i remember rightly, he knocked the Champ 'Jeff Jarrett' right out. Obviously a crock of crap like, but fun.

I'd like to see the Championship change hands as well, although, i wouldn't be too bothered if Matt Hughes kept the belt. St Pierre is a fantastic fighter, and he should do very well against Hughes. Whether or not St Pierre can defend Hughes take downs will remain to be seen.

If it goes to the ground, i'll give it to Hughes, but if it's kept upright, it's St Pierre's all the way for me.

OT: Anyone here think UFC should have it's own thread on here ?, just a thought.

A sissy sport? The best fighters in the world going at it? Riight..

Anyways, I can't wait for the Chuck vs Tito rematch! Chuck has beaten him once, and he'll do it again! He's the best fighter in UFC right now, he hits so hard, and has an extremely high will to win.

    • Less disk space means less bandwidth demands which means lower operating costs for service providers... that's where money talks. ... cuz it's not about improving video quality!... that's just marketing spin.
    • And thereby lies the rub. AV1 support is not as wide as paid analysts would have the industry believe. With AV2 around the corner, it's going cause more time backlog in adoption (how many recent purchasers will upgrade yet-again within the next 6-12 months? most would rather stay pat for another 1+ years before even thinking about upgrading their setups).
    • Microsoft OneDrive is getting a simple yet much needed feature by Sayan Sen Microsoft has been steadily expanding OneDrive’s file management capabilities over the years, including for shared content and shortcuts, although it has had its flaws, too. The cloud storage platform introduced support for folder shortcuts several years ago, allowing users to pin frequently accessed shared folders from OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams. Now, Microsoft is refining that experience further with a new way to organize those shortcuts as revealed in a recent Microsoft 365 roadmap addition. Previously, shortcuts added through the “Add shortcut to My files” option would appear alongside all other files and folders in the root of a user's OneDrive. And although it's meant to be useful, this approach could also create clutter along the way, especially for heavy users who may have to work with large numbers of shared folders across multiple projects and teams on their systems. This is where Microsoft’s latest feature comes in, as it is looking to address this inconvenience by giving users the option to place new shortcuts inside a dedicated “Shortcuts” folder instead. The feature is designed to keep shortcut links organized into a single location instead of scattering throughout the main OneDrive directory. Hence, the idea is to make navigation and usability easier and simpler. The first time a user chooses this option, OneDrive will automatically create the folder, and to help make it stand out from the other folders, the Shortcuts folder will have a distinct visual identity featuring a unique color and a building-style icon. That being said, the new Shortcuts will behave just like any other folder in OneDrive, and as such, users will be able to move it to a different location, rename it, share it with others, or remove it entirely if they prefer a different structure. You can view the entry on the Microsoft 365 roadmap website here. Currently, the feature is in the "in development" phase, but the tech giant expects the rollout to start next month (July 2026). Do keep in mind, though, that new feature rollouts often get delayed.
