I wonder if Canada was affected. Could be a US only thing though. I also wonder what the US government does? I bet they flew the president to some secret underground bunker. Also, I heard the US has nukes in Alaska.

i thought the first episode was cool. although i love doomsday stuff. the last 2 have been kind of slow and boring, but i guess they have to stretch it out to at least fill one season. the show did make me read up on what to do when this really happens, and also plan escape routes if necessary :)

Yeah hes up to something, I dont think he set off any bombs, but given that he did remove the towns assault weapon when it was raining, and given that by next weeks episode, hes creating profiles or checking out the towns people ie who might be a threat; my theory would be that maybe hes ensuring he or his organisation can control the town directly/indirectly.

And the little dictatorship he has going with his family is ludicrous.

Yeah thats pretty mad trying to get them to have a working story is just mad...I think he is some kind of renegade group who want to use this situation to take over a town and start up their own dictation

Im sorry I wasnt aware that speculation or voicing an opinion in regards to a character was tantamount to criticising the writers of the show......I just keep forgetting that dang lavish link between speculation and criticism...

I have to say I dont think its right...during a nuclear disaster to have someone plot against poeple in the town...but seeing as the towns in disaray its a good time to do anything big knowing they cant really defend themselves.

Ok, so the disclaimer text just informs us that he's using a satellite internet connection.

ah interesting. he seems to know quite a bit. so he was the one that told them about the radioactive rain? was it ever really a threat or did he use it to get the weapons?

where were those weapons exactly?

i dont know what it is about this show that bugs me... i keep losing interest with every episode, they try so hard to make it suspensful and mysterious and peak interest in that black dude and what's he's got to do with it.. but i keep thinking to myself that for some reason i really dont care, or that i can't really think of a way that it can turn out to be not so cheesy.. the whole "they're coming" in the last episode just threw me over the edge... who's coming, and who really cares who "they" are.. it had so much potential to be a good show along the lines of 24 with terrorist activity and whatnot, but it's looking more and more along the lines of some pathetic sci fi garbage..

/end rant
