I've lost interest in my overall gamerscore. There just seem to be so many good games to play on so many platforms (360, PS3, DS, PSP) that it doesn't make sense to waste time going for achievements in games that I don't enjoy. I'll keep getting as many GS as possible in games I do like though, such as GTA IV for instance.

These Microsoft Points - you earn them through in-game achievements and they're there to buy other things? Assuming you earn 1000 Microsoft Points and buy something worth 500, will your profile on MyGamerCard show your total achieved amount (1000 rather than 500)? If not, seems pointless to earn them all just to get a higher score on that board and no be able to buy anything out of your hard earned gaming achievements.

You're thinking of Gamerpoints. You earn Gamerpoints through achievements, but they can't be used to buy stuff on the Marketplace. If they could, I'd own every single Arcade game by now! :D

I get you :)

well slane, you guys are really letting it go. i have an excuse, but you people...you're just slacking!

Brother keeps taking the 360 and i'm unemployed. So no new games for me, and considering my brother keeps taking my box I can't play any old games.

sorry to hear about your job slane, didn't you just start there last year? besides, unemployment is a great opportunity to devote yourself to gaming and PBR - both are cheap and good for the soul. one rental a week won't kill you, i'm sure. if you can afford the electricity, you can afford one game a week. as for your brother taking the console, now that has excuse written all over it.

i'm sure you'll find something soon, cheer up.

One rental a week = month of WoW. I did start last year, they downsized, and I started up school again, so a job has been the last thing on my mind atm. And it's true, my brother does take it, he brought it back last night, so if I feel like hooking it up, i'll do that.

only you know your priorities, if WoW is more important, then it comes first. and you used to be such a devoted soldier around here...well, it was a good run. besides, i'll be passing you on the board in no time. heck the way things are i'll be first in four years, and then a screensave and i'm good...

Nah, once I start working I'll continue to build my score. Out of town this weekend, but I think it's the last time I let my brother borrow it, I'll start playing some old games. I'm not down for the count, just taking a long intermission.

it'll be good to have you back, and all the others...this ain't over till I say it's over.

EDIT: wow i'm that motivational? your score just went up by 30! to quote the Russian sales lady from GTAIV -

"a customer! goot, goot..."

Ya well brother got arrested, so I took all my **** from him as punishment, and busted out GTA. Finished the Unique Stunt Jumps, 100 away from 25k, gotta pick which game to get a 100 in. Debating between Mass Effect, GTAIV, Two Worlds, or Forza.

I've had Mygamercard for months know but never joined the Neowin clan. For what reason I don't know, but now I'm on. Apparently I have a pretty weak Gamerscore and I'm at 93 out of 211. :(

No biggie, you'll be alright, just keep on playing you'll get up there. I got a few games, I could help boost ya.

i'd say GTAIV...mass effect will take too long, forza 2 is horrible for achieves unless you're on the cusp of one.

but aren't you worried about your brother? why the hell was he arrested?

Grand larcency. Papers were served today, just gotta wait for court date to be announced. And no, he's a ****tard, should have learned from me, but he's to stupid to realize that. Probally won't go to jail, though I think it be funny if he did, maybe then this whole new "i'm the ****" attitude of his will disappear.

welcome to the leadboard mystic, yeah you have been around for a while, what kept ya? the joy of gaming is progress, you'll go up.

as for you and your bro slane, i don't want to pry, but do you guys by any chance have a cousin called Roman? tell him to watch out for the dude with the folded paper (or was it flower bouquet?).......

seriously, i hope he does learn from this and becomes better. we live in a society. but then i don't know the details. this society can make people go bad quite easily.

Can't edit and it's been awhile since i've double posted in this thread.

But I just hit 25,000! It only took 953 achievements. Current score is 25000/47455. Rented Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom, loving the game so far, not a strong story (any at all imo) just hacking and killing and well I love it. :)

So that leaves me at 18th place, 475 points behind 17th place.

Are current stats are :

210 Users

2,188,170GS

94,259 Total Achievements

So everyone, including myself, should step it up a notch (huge or small) and get some more points and achievements. Let's break 100k!

Unlocked a few battlefield achievements earlier on today. I have a pile of games set out I'm gonna finish over the next few months before Uni starts again. More interested in completing them but hopefully I'll get a decent amount of points too.

This topic is now closed to further replies.

    • Outlook classic is inherently better than new outlook, for a number of reasons. That said, if the only reason people need office is to read email, they should just use thunderbird.
    • Windows 11 is a big thumbs down from me. I used for a period of a few days while it was in insider and windows 10 was the main OS, and realised it wasn't for me. I am still waiting for Windows to be tolerable again, a shame as at one point I was very pro Microsoft.
    • Classic outlook, not only does it have a much fuller feature set, it doesn't include Microsoft attempting to sync my emails from my servers to theirs. If classic outlook is ever removed from office, and the version I paid for in 2021 stops working for some reason, I'll use Thunderbird.

Visual effects include options for masking, blue-screen, distortions, rotations, colour tools, blurring, obscuring and others. Configurable keyboard shortcuts and interface layouts. Rendering is done using a separate non-blocking process so it can be stopped, paused and restarted. Kdenlive also provides a script called the Kdenlive Builder Wizard (KBW) that compiles the latest developer version of the software and its main dependencies from source, to allow users to try to test new features and report problems on the bug tracker. Project files are stored in XML format. An archiving feature allows exporting a project among all assets into a single folder or compressed archive. • Here's how to watch the Xbox Games Showcase today and what to expect by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The June games showcase week has been a packed one, with everything from major presentations like Sony and Summer Game Fest to indie-focused reveals coming in almost every day. Now, it's almost time for another big one, with Microsoft bringing its Xbox Games Showcase back later today. This is a double feature too, with a Gears of War E-Day deep dive also being attached to it. For anyone wanting to tune in online, the 2026 Xbox Games Showcase is kicking off at 10 AM PT | 1 PM ET | 6 PM BST | 7 PM CEST later today, June 7. The event will be available to watch on the official Xbox YouTube (4K 60FPS), Twitch, Facebook, Steam, Amazon Live, and other portals. Separate livestreams for American Sign Language and Audio Description will also be available. "This year marks 25 years of XBOX, and this Showcase is poised to be a true celebration, offering world premieres, new gameplay, fresh updates, and more for a swathe of projects we cannot wait to share," said Microsoft about this presentation. With a new CEO behind it that is pulling off some interesting moves, Xbox may have some surprises to reveal today. New looks at first-party games like Halo Campaign Evolved from Halo studios, Fable from Playground Games, InXile Entertainment's Clockwork Revolution, Mojang's Minecraft Dungeons II, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 from Infinity Ward are to be expected here. We may finally get to see the new Blade from Arcane Studios in action and a new Persona game from Atlus at the showcase too. Surprise announcements may also arrive from other Microsoft-owned studios like Bethesda, MachineGames, Ninja Theory, Obsidian, Rare, World's Edge, or Blizzard. Considering how every new release nowadays is staying away from November and December to avoid Grand Theft Auto VI's release, any launch dates Microsoft announces will probably skip those months as well. Once the Xbox Games Showcase ends, Microsoft will immediately kick off the Gears of War: E-Day Direct. This deep dive into the upcoming prequel from The Coalition should attach gameplay footage and perhaps a release window to the highly anticipated project.
