congrats slane, i'm proud of you. you made it. 25K's a good number. don't matter what game so long as you enjoyed it.

we'll be at 100K by the end of Aug, my estimate. hope to be proven wrong i.e it's earlier.

good on you, too, munky. i was like, this guy's been on 10-11K for a year...

and where are you playing space invaders deluxe? was looking all over XBLA because of you!

oh yeah, i don't know how they do things north of Hadrian's Wall, but when i tell someone i'm sending them a game invite, i send them a game invite...just a thought.

Yeah gaming took a back seat for a while, and there really wasn't much that interested me the first half of this year. On the bright side, the pile of games I've yet to complete make the dry spells over summer better.

lol what are you talking about? I invited you the other night on Battlefield? You must be losing your sight in your old age :p

And I'm playing Space Invaders on the PSP/DS (Y)

And the joy of playing a new game fades today, as it's the last day I have Kingdom Under Fire. Which is a badass game, if you like games where you run around killing for no apprant reason, while gaining expereince to level and drops for better more badass weapons, then this is the game for you. Each character has a "story-line" but it's mostly just kill. It's so relaxing and fun.

Back to all the older games I have, and playing when I don't feel like WoW.

hey slane - i'm sure you can find KUF cheap somewhere..if you haven't finished it. you can also just keep it for another rental. hope your brother is not going to the slammer, btw...

munky - no, we left that one game and said we'd start a new one, but you never sent me an invite after that. i was devastated.

Oh, I think someone else joined the squad. It wasn't me hosting the squad though.

I'm sorry

I'll be on over the next few days/nights before I go away though, so if you're free I'll send some invites your way (Y)

  • 2 weeks later...

you know, i'm quite the imaginative type and i daydream a lot. so that's why when i take the train or walk down the street i sometimes worry that maybe i'm talking to myself. well, i won't fear that anymore because this thread has taught me that it's really not that bad.

well if it ain't Benedict Arnold. what's the matter, trophies not doing it for ya?

i'd be ecstatic over your comeback to the fold if it weren't for your privacy settings being turned on. It's OK playing Avatar, don't feel bad! :jump:

that doesn't make a lot of sense. you went traitor then paid for an Elite just because of having a lot of Live Marketplace stuff? why didn't you just keep the other 360? make up your mind brosef.

as for arcade, right now i'm still playing Tiqal, it's quite nice and good for achieves overall, as is Zuma. also get Hexic 2. besides, 1942 should be coming out any minute.

 Now now, it was called trading, I traded my 360 for a PS3, because I got a big deal for it, and then now because of a certain rush of money ($6000 :p) I bought an Elite, and have started to get all my games and stuff back, so now I have the best of both worlds... EchoChrome has gotten me addicted on PS3, and Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 has me hooked on the 360 :D

Now I have pretty much purchased all arcade games, and all available xbox original games in my region :)

once a betrayer, always a betrayer echo...i can never feel intimate with you again, guess you're in luck. good on you with the money, but maybe spend a little bit of it on actual games rather than just downloadables?

thanks for the heads up munky, however, looks like 1942 will keep me busy this weekend on the arcade front. and wow your score went up by a thou...in like a year. hahemm.

Yeah yeahhh, my score hasn't changed much. I can still teach you a thing or two though :p

It's not always about size scores you know!

what the hell munky, was talking to echo, not you! i don't think you're a traitor at all.

underoath - i'm gunning for you, pal.

I was responding to your comment about me taking a year to earn another 1K of points :p

Oh btw, thanks for your dog tags the other night on Battlefield, heh heh :p

shyeah at this rate you may be at 12K before xmas.

did my tags at least net you the dog owner achieve?

Already unlocked it 2 weeks ago or something :p I just wanted to collect another Neowin member's tags :D

Hey, I have a few games lined up to finish before I go back to uni, I'll at least have 13000 or 14000 before years end :p

what the hell munky, was talking to echo, not you! i don't think you're a traitor at all.

No..you stay away. I got TMNT coming within the next two days..give me some more GS ahead of you. Gamefly is my lover.

so that's how it's gonna be, huh? TMNT? well granted you have a thousand on me and it's likely to grow, so the challenge is on. i shall do my best to reach parity. i'd get crackin if i were you, oathie.

Lol, I got my gamefly ready. It's going to be great!

    • Halo: Campaign Evolved is out next month with new prequel missions by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Microsoft offered a look at the upcoming Halo: Combat Evolved remake at the Xbox Games Showcase today. The Halo Studios-developed title is not only getting a fully remade campaign, but also new content in the form of a fresh story arc featuring Sgt. Johnson. Fans don't have to wait long, either, as Halo: Campaign Evolved is releasing next month. The new content joining the original campaign consists of three new missions that have the name "Operation: METEORITE" attached to the full project. Aside from ground-based combat, space missions are also included here. These prequel missions will take players to events set before the original campaign, where the Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson duo team up for a clandestine UNSC operation aboard a Covenant research vessel. The studio says that the story for these missions was written in collaboration with award-winning sci-fi author Troy Denning. "Operation: METEORITE gives players a chance to expand their experience with new locations, new enemy variants, more weapons from across the Halo series, and new ways to play within the Halo sandbox, all while getting to spend more time with beloved characters and witness a new event that adds to the legacy of their heroic history," adds Halo Studios. Today's new trailer showed off the game in action, including the new missions. Catch it below. Halo Campaign Evolved is coming out on July 28, 2026. It will be available across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 with a $49.99 price tag. A digital premium edition will also be available for $69.99, offering five days of early access, extra in-game skins, and a digital art collection. A $199.99 physical Collector's Edition is also incoming, bringing a Master Chief statue, a Cortana chip, a Steelbook case, and more.
    • To give context to everybody, I bought about 2 sets of RAM, ddr4, 3200, 64 gb, 2 years ago. It costed me 150 usd for each set. If you buy RAM now you only incentivate companies to sell you expensive stuff, as Nvidia did.
    • KillerPDF 1.4.2 by Razvan Serea KillerPDF is a lightweight, portable PDF editor for Windows built for users who want full control without subscriptions, installers, or telemetry. It runs as a single executable, making it ideal for USB use and field work. You can view PDFs with smooth PDFium rendering, navigate quickly with thumbnails, zoom, and shortcuts, and reorganize pages using drag-and-drop. It supports merging multiple PDFs, splitting documents, and extracting selected pages. KillerPDF also allows inline text editing with font matching to preserve the original layout, plus annotations like text boxes, freehand drawing, highlights, and reusable signatures. You can search full text, copy content easily, and print documents with flattened annotations. Designed as a free and open alternative to bloated PDF tools, it works fully offline on Windows 10/11 x64. No runtimes install. Everything needed is inside the EXE (targets .NET Framework 4.8, which ships with every supported Windows release). KillerPDF key features: High-quality PDF rendering via PDFium Edit PDF text inline (double-click to modify text) Page thumbnails and fast navigation with zoom and shortcuts Merge multiple PDFs into one Split PDFs and extract selected pages Drag-and-drop page reordering Font matching to preserve original document appearance Text boxes for notes Freehand drawing tools Highlight overlays with adjustable color, size, opacity Undo actions and clear per-page annotations Create, draw, and save reusable signatures Click-to-place signatures anywhere Full-text search with highlighted results Drag-select or Ctrl+A to copy text Print with annotations flattened Portable single-file app (~10 MB) No installer, no admin rights required No account, no telemetry KillerPDF 1.4.2 changelog: What's new PDF form filling. Interactive PDF forms now render their fields (text inputs, checkboxes, radio buttons) as live controls. Fill them in directly and save — field values are written back into the PDF. PDF outline (bookmark) navigation. A new OUTLINES tab in the sidebar displays the document's bookmark tree. Click any entry to jump to that page. The sidebar auto-fits its width to the longest entry on open and can be dragged wider; switching back to PAGES snaps to the pages-mode width. Fixed Page rotation no longer reverts after saving. Rotations applied via the sidebar context menu now persist correctly through the save pipeline. Copied text words were out of order on PDFs where glyphs are stored in non-reading order (Issue #66). Text extraction now sorts words by position and uses a dynamic line-grouping threshold so both drag-select and Select All produce correctly ordered output. PDFs with malformed or non-standard XRef tables now open in read-only mode instead of showing "Invalid entry in XRef table" and failing entirely.
