03 Lexus is300

Recommended Posts

I've been a member for a while now but havent posted much.. (hope that doesnt stop any of you from giving me your opinion :))

well i'm ready to make a purchase on an 03 model is300 and i cant decide on which colour to get. I'll be placing a nice skirt on it in a while after i put in a system and some sassy 19" konig rims. I've been thinking a nice white.. the nice milky white lol. Other than that, it's either black, yellow or silver.

I guess you gotta ask yourself what you'd think of an is300 in a white/black/yellow or silver colour if it were to roll by you lol

All opinions will be very helpful! thank you all! :)

oh damn!! thank you all lol yeah white's common but like psybapunk said.. it's classy :) black is nice too and yeah at one point i was leaning at exactly yellow buh yeah it doesnt shout lexus lol :p very sporty though. and besides white, i think silver is like the most common i've seen and i didnt really want a metallic blue cause two of my friends got some 06 civic and eclipse in that colour :(

im split between black and white. i gotta check out cars on the lot. look tottally different in person than in pictures :)

ladybug lights? lol where?? i love em they're what sets this car apart from any other. i got the dough to purchase myself an is250 buh i really want to make my first car mine. Besides it's easier to pay off round 20k than the damn 40k the is250 costs.

Yeah ironman i've seen that gray buh i'd like the car to match i mean as in look uniform. black with black interior sounds nice buh i really like tan leather.

those 4 red rear lights make me think of spots on a lady bug (although i think a ladybug is red with blackspots) but anyways, its not just the IS, i dont like the circle lights on the TSX either, although I do like that they are way smaller than the IS's lights.

im actually up for grabs between an 07 TL and 07 IS 250...but i cant justifty spending 34-35k on a compact. So im really leaning towards the TL. Just out of curiousity, what options are you adding to the IS250 to get 40k? Im guessing its just because im going base (luxury package only, or whatever its called) and my quotes were about 31.5k so 34k total about OTD

and how about black exterior..with tan interior :) (is there a silver interior on the IS300?)

I like the white myself. Please dont do all that bodykit crap to it though I see tons of those things riced out and then i see the stock ones and i wonder why the hell they did that stupid crap to their cars. I know what you're thinking though, "mine isnt going to look stupid." yes it is. Not trying to be an ass or anything, but please keep your car stock....they are cars that are timeless and look nice without being lowered or "tricked" out. I would like the yellow one, but they have goofy looking bling bling "look at me" rims on it and it just plain looks like some punk teenager drives it. Oh an i forgot to mention that the original car will hold its value much much more so than the riced out car. Good luck man. THose is300's are my fav :)

The is300 already looks tight. If it aint broke, dont fix it.

No, you're not getting the luxury package at that price. What area do you live in? The base cars in the South Florida area start at $34K. They added the HIDs as standard and you get the 18" wheels and more often than not the rear spoiler. Of course, the standard feature list is huge: leather, sunroof, 6-disc in dash changer, etc.

I live in southern california/orange county area...this was about 2 months ago I asked for quotes (so 2006 models) and the highest quote I had was about 31,700...I guess we have a really good market or something, they are selling 2006 TL's for under 29,500 before taxes right now. But Im still holding out for a 2007

I guess i should be more specific on what IS 250 i got quoted on. It was the automatic rear wheel drive, and I said base model, and now that I think of it, I believe he said the base model comes with the premium package. and now looking at the lexus site now. The cheapest premium package seems about double the price then what it was in 2006

MSRP on the premium package is $1,290. It adds wood trim and heated/ventilated seats. We generally pu the premium pkg on cars that get navigation. Still, $31,700 seems extremely cheap. I wouldn't discount the fact that they'll tell you something to bring you into the store and then change it on you. The TL is a great buy right now because it's a pretty cold car.

thanks for the reply. I do not see that option for that anymore. Now the cheapest option is 3,082 which is "premium package with additonal options". I do remember last year when i did htat on the website I did have a cheaper package available. So maybe the packages in my area changed. Also, perhaps you can help me with a random question. whats the difference between the perforeated leather and regular leather?

And actually, I got like 4 different lexus quotes all around 31,500 so Im guessing that was the price because it was an 06 model in late summer. So Im sure the 07's are a bit more now. I just remember I didnt really give them a second look because thye kept saying it was like 1000-1500 over invoice and that really turned me off that they wouldnt go lower than that.

    • Microsoft finally admits its default Windows 11 25H2, 24H2 action broke key legacy component by Sayan Sen Microsoft last week released Windows 11 KB5094126 and KB5093998 as the latest Patch Tuesday updates. Following that the company also published the accompanying dynamic updates under KB5094149, KB5095971, and KB5094156. So far the company has acknowledged two known issues that have popped up after the release which include bugged-out Office apps as well as the Recycle Bin; though there could be more at play too. Speaking of bugs and issues, Microsoft seems to have finally acknowledged a problem that probably has been around for close to a year. That's because back in July of 2025 the company made a default change to the latest Windows 11 versions, wherein it switched to JScript9Legacy on Windows 11 24H2 and later releases. Hence following the release of version 25H2 in October 2025, JScript9Legacy also remained default-enabled. As a result there has been a compatibility issue ever since then. For those wondering, by switching to JScript9Legacy Microsoft intended to improve the security of modern Windows PCs by reducing vulnerabilities tied to legacy scripting like cross-site scripting (XSS), among others. XSS exploits can allow cyber-attackers to attach malicious code onto legitimate websites and use them to execute the code when a potential victim loads such a website. Hence the new JScript9Legacy engine enforced stricter execution policies and improved object handling, which should help mitigate such attacks. Microsoft today has published a new support article detailing the problem. Neowin spotted it while browsing. The company says that JScript global definitions and execution context may fail to persist across scripts, potentially breaking older dependent apps and web-based components that relied on this legacy behavior. In the article Microsoft has confirmed that the issue stems from its move away from the older jscript9.dll engine in favor of jscript9legacy.dll. As mentioned above, while the newer engine was designed to address vulnerabilities and strengthen security it also changes how JScript handles execution context. As a result functions and definitions loaded by one script could no longer remain available to subsequent scripts once execution ended. The company notes that some applications worked correctly on earlier Windows versions because the older JScript engine automatically retained global definitions and execution state between scripts. Under the newer model though that behavior is disabled by default causing certain legacy workloads and polyfill-dependent scripts to fail. Microsoft says it addressed the problem via the KB5077241 update though the fix had not been enabled automatically in the following updates. As such admins must explicitly turn on persistent JScript execution context using a Registry setting that the tech giant shared today. The configuration can be applied to individual processes or system-wide through the FEATURE_ENABLE_PERSISTENCE registry key. The steps have been outlined below: Run the following command to create the feature control registry key: reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_ENABLE_PERSISTENCE" Under this key, create a new DWORD (32-bit) value. Configure the value as follows: To enable persistence for specific processes only: Set the value to 1 for each target process name. To enable persistence for all processes: Add * as the key name and set its value to 1. You can find the official support article here on Microsoft's website.

    • VidCoder 12.20 by Razvan Serea VidCoder is a DVD/Blu-ray ripping and video transcoding application for Windows. It uses HandBrake as its encoding engine. Calling directly into the HandBrake library gives it a more rich UI than the official HandBrake Windows GUI. VidCoder can rip DVDs but does not defeat the CSS encryption found in most commercial DVDs. You’ll need the NET 8 Desktop Runtime. If you don’t have it, VidCoder will prompt you to download and install it. The Portable version is self-contained and does not require any .NET Runtime to be installed. You do not need to install HandBrake for VidCoder to work. Feature list: Multi-threaded MP4, MKV containers Completely integrated encoding pipeline: everything is in one process and no huge intermediate temporary files H.264, H.265, MPEG-4, MPEG-2, VP8, Theora video Hardware-accelerated encoding with AMD VCE, Nvidia NVENC and Intel QuickSync AAC, MP3, Vorbis, AC3, FLAC audio encoding and AAC/AC3/MP3/DTS/DTS-HD passthrough Target bitrate, size or quality for video 2-pass encoding Decomb, detelecine, deinterlace, rotate, reflect, chroma smooth, colorspace filters Powerful batch encoding with simultaneous encodes Customizable Pickers to automatically pick audio and subtitle tracks, destination, titles and more Instant source previews Creates small encoded preview clips Pause, resume encoding VidCoder 12.20 changes: Updated HandBrake core to 1.11.2.
