Although I don't do too much FTPing, I use SmartFTP. It's got a nice interface, has a lot of features (half of which I don't use but eh :) ) and is free (which is always good :D )

Why? SSL, FXP, uhm, the fact that it doesnt crash, it's very "slim" no bull**** banners or anything.

flash fxp all the way, it even supports fxp not that I have ever used that.

I use WS_FTP 95 version...prolly the worse, but it has no ads, no crap just an FTP client, real easy to use.
