You would basically have two wireless connections but other then that I don't see a problem. I think this would be a better solution - http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c...FVisitorWrapper

well, when I say searching around, I meant searching around work... we have one I can use :)

But I dont want to run wire and come to find it wont work ;)

If you run a wire -- why wouldn't it work??? Your only problem would them stepping on each other, etc.. But yes If you wire up the device to a network, it will provide wireless access to that wired network.. that is what it does ;) Its just a wireless hub.. so yeah why wouldn't it work??

But that device, nor the WRT54gx4 seem to support WDS.. so no you can not really tie the wireless network together. But sure you can run a wire to the other side of your house.. hook up the access point and create a pocket of wireless access to your wired network.

I am curious how big your house is - that a wrt54gx4 does not provide coverage for it? Sounds like just bad placement to me..

"The robust signal travels farther, maintaining wireless connections up to 3 times farther than standard Wireless-G." So that does not cover you house?? How many square feet are we talking? ;)

Well, I got it set up. Running the same SSID and everything. Only thing I see is that when I have my wireless router on I get a good signal. When I turn off the wireless router and just have the AP I get an excellent signal. Mind you the router is in my room while my laptop is on the other side of the house directly beneath the AP.

Also, I set up the router to give access to my neighbor :p
