What do you use to check the temperature of your graphic card processor?

Load at high 40's? That must be a lie. Typically, the idle is equal or higher than that.

Athlon Mobile 2500+

FSB: 233

Multiplier: 10.5

Voltage: 1.844

Cooling

Heatsink: Si-97

Fan: Thermoflow 92mm (replacing with a panaflo soon)

Temps:

Idle: 49c

Load: 55c

note: temps are so high because the shoddy thermoflow refuses to run at more than 1700rpm!! with my old tornado temps were considerably cooler)

Gfx Card:

Geforce 6600gt

Core: 598

Mem: 1.2ghz

The vcore limit for most athlons is actually 2.0 ;) (on paper anyways) but most would suggest not jumping it as high as 1.9....

I'd probably experiment with dropping it a little maybe 1.8-1.85 even 1.75 to see if it still runs stable

Regardless , a nice oc you've got there (Y)

Cyrilix: What the hell are you talking about?

The x800 XT PE temperatures. It might be different on different sensors, but typically people report that they reach 70-80 at load. I'm not very experienced at what programs to use to detect temps, but I can't doubt what I've seen.

Naturally, you might say, they are using an X800 XT, but this one is overclocked way past XT PE. Anyway, if you guys think it's possible, tell me how you've achieved it and what program you are using to detect the temps, but 40 some at load just boggles the mind.

Edit: Well, I found a site where it was claimed that temps dropped to 50. Maybe I'm just wrong. *shrug*

well, this is my little gem :p

mobo: MSI 865PE Neo2

main memory: 2*256 ddr pc3200 @dual channel

temps: idle: 33'C

high load: 42'C =>running doom3 or call of Duty or editing with blender and photoshop a same time

Cooling: heatsink build in copper by myself

fan: I catch one motor of sunflower :p

case: build by myself aluminum and plexiglass w=290mm, length=570mm, height=660mm

internal fans: unnecessary

lights: none I don't like <already have one into chipset anyway>

color: black

Graphic card: LOL  I forget overclock it, but is one poor gfx5200 128mb

works like a charm  (Y)

thats a very nice OC, I have a barton 2500+ too, but however no matter what cpu cooler i changed to, my cpu just can't OC...:(

I envy you....

I have two overclocked systems, my desktop and my laptop.

Laptop: Asus M6Ne

Pentium M 715 (Dothan 1.5 GHz at 1.36 V stock) running at 15x121=1815 MHz with vcore of 1.36 (max), temps 55 C load with fan off, 45 C with fan at 3600 RPM, 45 C idle with fan off, 40 C with fan at 3000 RPM (fan can't be controlled)

Mobility Radeon 9700 64 MB (stock 390/205) at 540/260

Desktop:

Asus A7N8X-X + Athlon XP 2500+ Mobile (Barton 1.8 GHz at 1.45 V stock) running at 11.5x200=2300 MHz with vcore of 1.75, temps 45 C idle, 50 C load with Volcano 9 at 3000 RPM

MSI Geforce 4 Ti 4200 64 MB (stock 250/513) at 310/580

I will give empty's 10.5x233=2446 at 1.844 V a try later...

    • The level of stupidity at Google and Microsoft is beyond belief. All they are doing by killing this is forcing people to jump over to Firefox and ditch them all together, therefore giving Firefox the market boost it needs to finally crush them all in the end.
