Computer Build

Recommended Posts

I am about to order these parts from Newegg. Slightly wish I would have done it last night and saved $10, but oh well. I went from a 500GB hard drive of same spec to the 160GB to save money for a bigger monitor (the 20").

If anyone see's any problems or has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

This is my first computer build in quite a few years and I want to be sure I'm not making any mistakes.

Thanks!

Looks good, but i would change this to a Core 2 Duo E6600 and matching Asus mobo. Better bang for buck.

I googled E6300 vs X2 4200, and the consensis seems to be that the E6300 trounces the competition, and also can overclock easily to 2 - 2.4 Ghz, which will smash the competition.

Definitly go for this chip.

The ASUS is a P5B32-Sli or sumthing... Also one of thiose Gigabyte 6 Quad boards would be ideal for it also.
