Need for Speed Carbon demo!

Recommended Posts

As expected, Electronic Arts has now released a playable demo for Need for Speed Carbon, offering the first opportunity to take this imminent arcade racing simulation sequel by EA Black Box for a spin. This demo contains a familiar introduction movie, a Circuit track and a Drift track, both of which must be won to unlock the Canyon Duel against Kenji, all playable in three car models that can also be modified using the Autosculpt feature.

I see EU tacked on at the end of the file name. I'm guessing this just means English language.

I pre-ordered the game this week, and it's coming out in just a few days, and I'll be pretty busy in the meantime, so I don't know if it's going to be worth downloading the demo now seeing that I'll be getting the game in less than a week! Too bad EA took FOREVER getting this out! Some of the consoles had the demo for this game out like a friggin month ago!

why ? because it's not so much arcade like it was pff cmon

"Not so much?" They took the arcade game of the year and added a slice of ARCADE!

The balance of the cars, the entire feel of the drive feels so crap, so ... Bleh!

I really hope by "It's not so much arcade" you don't actually call this turd anywhere near realistic? Then i will be laughing until i hit the grave.

some screenies?

Some random screenshots I took ingame (first 3 are the cars in the demo): http://www.users.on.net/~slick0/nfscarbon/

Before anyone asks, no there is no native widescreen support. :)

    • BS, I've yet to run into a typical pc user that uses it at all, let alone half the population.

    • The site is pretty sparse on features / tech specs. Can I plug it into a PC/hone/Switch via USB-C and use it as an external display? If so, what's the virtual resolution of the screen, the refresh rate, PPI of the image etc? Is the text crisp enough to use for coding at say 12pt? Is it good enough for playing dark games, like say Path of Exile 2? How about fast games like car racing games? Just how do they expect anyone to order this thing without giving out all this info?
