Need For Speed: Carbon

Recommended Posts

Some great cars guys :) keep 'em coming! I just found out my normal source for release dates is wrong :( seems we (Au) are not getting Carbon this Thursday...seems the official release date is 16 Nov  why do we we always get screwed over like this? the same thing that happened with Most Wanted is gonna happen with Carbon :( (e.g. by the time we (Au) got Most Wanted all the other people (NA/EU) had already clocked the game and got the fastest cars so when I went online for a game, I'd be in the Cobalt SS (best I could get at the time) and the other racers were in M3 GTRs and Carrera GTs which is why I never play NFS online cause what is the point? I'll get thrashed by all those NA/EU players with thier top cars..way to go EA :( ) ok I've had my rant

EDIT: My bad, I was half right..seems the Xbox 1 version is due Nov 9 and Xbox 360 (and other versions) is Nov 16..why such a gap between releases? and why the Xbox 1 version coming out first??

Oh well looks like my source this time (was actually the Xbox.com Australia site) was wrong anyway :p poped into my local shop and they just got it in, so I grabbed the 360 version :) I would of got the PC version but my PC can't handle Carbon very well (but can run Most Wanted maxxed out...guess Carbon is more demanding then it looks :p)

I know this is for the PC version, but you can upload pics from the 360 version. So I'll post it here, I hope nobody minds too much me posting shot(s) from the 360 version?

No much yet, only got the game today :p if there is a version of this thread for the console version(s) of this game please just tell me where it is rather then bashing me for posting here? thx

don't worry about it, no one will bash you. I started this thread so I approve :) . It don't matter what graphics it is or what system its on, as long it shows off your creativity, taste, style, etc.... :)

Cool  soon as I've made some more progress, I'll post some more shots :) my car is kinda average right now :p

Did anyone notice the heavy camera/car shaking - in 3rd "person" mode? I experienced it in the demo and saw it in the final. First i thougt it is because of the bumps on the road. But if you do a little jumping the shaking continues in the air too.

After reading some reviews i see it is some kind of feature, but it drives me wild... like sitting on a washing machine and playing from there. Am i the only one who this bothers?

There, been at the game for a little bit, did a little work on my cars. I tried to keep it clean and simple..for some reason they don't look that good on the screenshots..but they looked better on the TV :p

Shall post my ride later today, but a question about the gameplay.. is the type of cars that get unlocked in career affected by the type of car youre using? I used the camaro ss for the first quarter or so and it only seemed to unlock muscle cars through the gameplay.

Ok I've been busy and got some more cars. The RX-7 and RX-8 haven't changed much since the pictures I posted a while ago, I've now got a Dodge Charger R/T, Suburu Impreza WRX STi and a Murci?lago.

Wow, no-one seems to have replied for awhile...well this will probably be my last for a while too :p I've clocked the career mode now, just messing around (slowly) unlocking the extras :p I must ask though, is it my imagination or are the cops much more aggressive in Carbon compared to Most Wanted? (I find they are, I get busted heaps more in Carbon then I did in Most Wanted anyway...perhaps I'm just crap?  )

Anyway, no new cars, I changed the look of my Dodge Charger R/T and my Murci?lago.

    • You are clueless. The updates are done in the background so the next time you open Edge the updates are applied automatically. There is no need to close all your tabs. Just keep browsing like you normally do. Clearly you don't use Edge and are just one of those haters that complain for the sake of complaining.
    • I don't get this David. Can you explain it please.
    • Microsoft is busy. Lots of changes to be released imminently for Windows server or soon. Also, lots happening for next version as well. Third party virus scanning software is being moved out of Kernel mode to avoid repeat of Crowdstrike incident. Windows Protected Mode and Windows Ready Print no longer require third party print drivers to be installed. New storage stack being developed. New NVME drivers now available for Windows Server 2025 to improve local NVME drive performance by 60+ percent. NVME-Of of fabric being worked on for next release to improve network access to NVME drives. ReFs (next file system) now has ability to boot and will become default file system in next release of Windows Server. ReFs improves on NTFS in several areas including resiliency and reliability and scalability. New update stack is being worked on to unify Windows updates, and updates for drivers and first party/3rd party application software. A stricter and more robust third-party driver certification program (ODI) is being worked on to improve performance, thermals, battery life, and reliability on modern Windows hardware by tightening how OEMs and IHVs (Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, etc.) build and ship drivers. There is a tone more but too numerous to mention.
