What the hell is up with that.... I imagine other implementations of it will be nice, I think it's more just to give an idea of what it's capable of... But at the moment it's quite ugly... I'm sure someone will be able to take advantage of this feature to create some nice effects....

This is a "secret", it's version .55 Alpha actually, the one available is .52 labeled as .51....

There's a reason that version wasn't released. It's very very slow due to a bug. That's why it didn't make it past QA and get released.

An official 0.60 will be relesed this next week that is much faster and may have auto-hide in it on top of the dock positioning, skinning, and other features.

Frogboy: Actually, I see speed improvement over the last version. In terms of what is slowed down? I really don't feel it.

Runs fine for me.... I'd rather be able to play with this one until the new one comes out... This way I can at least put the dock on the top or sides.... And I like being able to change the background and the overlay.....

u can't position the dock in v 0.51

0.51 = 0.52 Alpha

it looks like they cut the link for .55 it used to be at http://www.stardock.com/files/objectdock052.exe and that gave you version .55, but now it doesnt work. if anyone really wants .55, PM me and maybe ill email it to you or something ;)

you can use your own image. i just made a blank 31X43 image so that mine is now trasnparent:) if you want transparency, i can send you the blank image lol. this is what it looks like transparent:
