HAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

you've never played Halo have you?? or Time splitters 2, let's not forget perfect dark when it comes out. unreal, mech assault, ghost recon, there will be Halo 2, all the sports games....i can't think of any else right now.

i own halo. its an over hyped pos, only good multiplayer, and golden eye is funner (probably has more textures and variaty too).

mech assualt is a weak franchise, lacking in game play, slow and boring.

unreal for xbox. ohhh no mods, no patches, no thanks, i'll play it on my pc.

every system has sports games, way too many. they are all the same, 500 different hockey games each with more retarded controls then the next.

basically xbox doesn't have any really great exclusives or franchises.

Yeah I have played Halo. A big yawner  Pretty graphics doesn't make a game.

Time splitters 2 was ok. Nothing spectacular

Perfect dark is on n64. Goldeye is still better. Unreal is just doom in different clothes. Neither of which i found entertaining. Ghost recon is DEFINATELY not a good multiplayer game. The sports games are the only multiplayer games (more than 2 people = mulitplayer) that are good. But I wouldnt call them "fun". Nothing like Goldeneye.

lol you two are a trip. and perfect dark (the sequel) is coming to the Xbox. and it don't matter what you think of Halo and Mech Assault etc....apparently the million copies of the game says enough.

but if you want to bring the PC into the equation, then all consoles are crap, even Bond, Bond can't hold a candle to a good game of counter-strike, unreal 2003 and such.

Well on a system with very few quality games (xbox), the first big and pretty game will always sell a lot. You should know that. what else are people going to buy.

I wouldn't call counter strike (cheaters r us) and unreal 2003 good games. Like I said, online gaming doesn't hold a candle to beating friends right there in the same room

then you don't play online gaming much, cause the the thrill of beating 15 complete strangers you don't know is much better than beating your 3 sorry friends who you know can't play worth a lick. and once again you may not call counter-strike a good game, but since it is the #1 online game in the world...well i guess your opinion doesn't hold much weight.

but i understand your point with a system with few quality games (gamecube) i think to Metroid Prime, and i'm SURE you don't like it cause it doesn't even have multiplayer for you to kick your friends but in.

it's people like you that disgust me, cause you act like you can't give a good game it's due. so if it's not on your system then it must be crap, which is just plain stupid. all the systems have some good games, one more than others lol.

Oh great yet another person trying to compare PC hardware to game console hardware. Ok here we go...

(1) Of course PC's are gonna have more powerful hardware. They are MULTI-TASKING machines. So it's gonna need to have some powerful to do e-mail, internet, word processing, 3D design, graphic design, games, etc. Consoles on the other hands are DEDICATED gaming machines and need alot of power to run the games. You are comparing apples and oranges.

(2) Like in #1, PC's need enough RAM to adequetly run all games, e-mail, internet, word processing, 3D design, graphic design, etc. So of course it is going to have more RAM then consoles. Deciding the amount of RAM needed for a system is a tricky issue. Sony, unfortuantely, decided wrong by putting too little RAM. That is why the textures in some games don't look as good as they do on Gamecube & Xbox. Again, you're comparing apples and oranges.

(3) Again like in #1 & #2, video cards on computers aren't used for just games. A game consoles main purpose, incase you haven't picked up yet, is to play games. A video cards performance varies on the quality of the drivers, while a game consoles video performance is always the same.

haha, exactly, some people do not know what they are talking about.

Damn, you guys have not played Halo online... I am serious, I have had tons of fun in the past year because I can play online with it. It is alot more fun to play against people who can actually play good, not your 3 friends who cannot play at all. I've said it before, and I will say it again: Halo is the best game I have ever played. How can you guys say it sucked? The graphics were awesome, the gameplay was awesome, the story was pretty good, what more can you ask?

As far as playing online vs 3 buddies, I will never prefer playing online. My friends are all pretty good at bond and the other games, so it's comptetitive. I do play online games quite a bit. But it just doesn't even come close to hearing and seeing your friends anguish.

And Halo, yeah it's got good graphics, and yeah it's fun to shoot people, but it doesn't set itself apart from Doom or Quake. It's the same thing, but prettier and on an xbox. The gameplay (imo) is terrible for single player. All the baddies always spawning in the same place...that killed the game right there. xbox fans try to talk up halo because it's all you got. I think my stepbro is the only person with an xbox that agrees with me. Up to the point where he sold halo and bought something different.

You are trying to convince me of your opinion, when I already know what I think is fact. I play online games and I've played with friends in the room. I know which is more fun to me. Now since that seems to just be wrong to you guys, well that's too bad. You need to get over the fact that someone doesn't like Halo, or that someone disagrees with what you like.

the problem is you can't give a good game credit, just cause you probably get your ass kicked in Halo, you don't like it.

but the fact is, online gaming is AND WILL ALWAYS be much better than console gaming. only wimps want to test themselves against their friends, TRUE MASTERS play against many more people who have much better skill than you most of the time and it makes you better. but i mean hey, if you don't like being truly challenged, don't like downloaded new maps, mods, etc....then that's your problem. and i can't believe you are comparing Halo to Doom and Quake, hell since you say like Bond so much, they all basically the same, THEY ARE ALL FPS so get over it.

you talk about counter-strike being cheat, well i can tell you from experience that Bond is one of the cheapiest and cheat games out there. the remote mines completely take the fun and challenge out the game, you have to share your tv screen with 3 other people who are looking at your screen to see where you're at. In perfect dark, they put the farsight gun in to stop people from camping and it's the ultimate camp weapon, just like in Bond a player just sits on the spawn spot of the best gun (since you want to bring up stuff popping up at the same place) and just camps, yeah that's real great, real different from what you claiming plagues Halo.

but why are you even bringing up the single player of Halo, stick to your argument, your whole thing is playing against friends and multiplayer, and in that aspect Halo is just basically Bond, Perfect Dark, Unreal, Doom...etc, they are ALL THE SAME.

you've given no reasons why Halo sucks, that's why you sounding stupid and like a PS2 or Cube Fanboy. give me reasons why you thing the multiplayer sucks if it's so bad. i've given you my reasons why i think Bond multiplayer isn't as good as online gaming. NOTE i still think it's a good game and i play it and Perfect Dark, but unlike you I can admit what a good game is, and recognize what's wrong with that game.

you talk about graphics, well you admitted that was better, story??? there is no story in multiplayer so that's a mute point....everything that you can do in Bond or Perfect Dark, you can do in Halo or Timesplitters for that matter. you can play against your friends while they are sitting next to you and rub it in when you beat them whatever.....they have bombs, sniper rifles, and they have vehicles. but of course you'll probably say naw it's not fun to run people over with a truck.

Tsk tsk tsk. So many assumptions, so many insults. Honestly, there is nothing in your post to reply to. You base your arguements around me being, stupid, a fanboy, a liar, a wimp, etc etc etc. Yeah, great arguement. Oh man, I really see your point now!

I said why I liked gaming against my friends more than online game. I think I've stated that in every post of mine. I've also stated in every post why I dislike Halo. But you continue to say my OPINION is wrong. And how I must suck at Halo, because EVERYBODY has to like Halo!! And if someone doesn't like Halo, well they must either suck or didn't play it enough or they are a fanboy! Well everyone does not like Halo son.

Your friends may camp for the weapons, but none of us do. People looking at your window makes the game even harder. First you said Halo was the best game. And now you are saying Halo is the same as Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. And how everything you can find in one game, you can find in another. Soooo...which is it.

Per board rules, you may want to keep the flames and insults to yourself next time.

uh no acutally you didn't say why you like dislike Halo, as i said in my posts your reasons are stupid cause they apply to the single player part of the game....your whole arguments is about playing multiplayer.

you say it doesn't set itself apart from Quake or Unreal...well they are all the same, even Bond, FPS. the question is how does Bond set itself apart from Quake and Unreal.

you say Halo is the same thing as them, just prettier and on Xbox, well using that logic i can say Bond is the same thing as Halo just uglier and on N64. you say the gameplay is terrible on singleplayer...what what a minute i thought we was talking about multiplayer.

you say "xbox fans trying to talk up Halo cause it's all you got"....hmmm and you say you don't sound like a fanboy. you made an assumption that i have an Xbox, I DON'T. but i know you have a N64 and PS2.

so somebody looking at your screen makes it harder?? well this coming from the same person who said counter-strike was cheat. well using your logic i'll just say it's harder. and i've never said Halo was the best game on Xbox or better than Bond or Dark. i said it was a good game. it definitely has better graphics and improves on alot of the mistakes of the previous two, but i know a FPS shooter game when i see it and they are all the same. whether it be Mario, Link and Zelda shooting each other in a 4-player spliter screen, they are all the same idea and basic point, kill your friends.

your opinion is based on hypocrisy because the only argument you have against the MULTIPLAYER part of Halo is that it doesn't set itself apart from Quake and Doom, so i refer back to my first question....HOW DOES BOND AND PERFECT DARK SET THEMSELVES APART FROM IT?

I thought I would break in and give my "opinion". I think it was posted earlier that its all about the user. Just like a computer, if all you are going to do is word processing, then you don't need a high end system. If you are doing video editing, then your system needs to be pretty fast.

I have the opprotunity to have both PS2 and XBox. I have played many games on the PS2 and only a few on the Xbox. Based off of having both systems, my choice is the XBox. I found the Xbox to load faster and the system to be a lot more quite than the PS2. There are other things: the online experience is suppose to be superior to PS2 (which I have not tried), no multitap for more than 2 controllers, no need for memory cards, the ability to rip audio CDs to the Xbox hard drive, etc.) Graphics on both systems are pretty much the same, with maybe a slight advantage going to the Xbox.

On the plus side for PS2, it has been out longer. This means more games are available. So the argument about the lack of titles for Xbox is justified, but a lot of developers (new and old) are putting a lot into Xbox development.

Let me say again, I like both systems. I just would put the Xbox over the PS2.

Just my opinion.

i'll agree with that....technically just looking at the hardware XBox is clearly the best system. for me gamecube is the worst. yes gamecube is more powerful than PS2, but it has some stuff lacking that i dont' feel like paying for.

with Xbox (as you've said) don't ever have to buy a memory card, games load faster (thanks to the harddrive), you can install bonus disks (basically expansions and add-ons), the rumble in the controller is great, it plays music cds, dvds, and as you said you can rip a music cd to the harddrive and listen to that music instead of the game music.

PS2 ..yeah it came out first and therefore has more games and some real great games (just like all the systems), the memory card is pretty big and it plays dvds and audio cds. with the gamecube it's so much Nintendo could have done but they choose not to and it's hurting them, not as much as some people thought it would be it still is. with every ps2 and xbox sold, Nintendo has to say to themselves, this is a person who made the decision to spend $100 more ($50 now) on a system instead of getting our system. it goes to show cheap don't always cut it and the most powerful system isn't necessarily the beset in terms of games. the memory card for the gamecube is pitifully small compared to the ps2 and no contest to the Xbox, you can't play music cds or dvds. so they have small disks (which are nice) that only hold 1.5 gigs. you say well people don't need all that space and if they do they can have 2 disks. well i don't know about you but i'm tired of swapping disks and crap. with dvd disks of the ps2 and xbox it gives the developers more room to fill it with high resolution FMV videos, which i quite enjoy. with the gamecube they couldn't do it as much as they could with the other systems.

well you say you already have a dvd player, well that's great so do i, but for only $50 more, i can get 2 free games and a Dvd player (Xbox bundle). a dvd player for $50...let me think about that one now??? that's a good deal.

uh no acutally you didn't say why you like dislike Halo, as i said in my posts your reasons are stupid cause they apply to the single player part of the game....your whole arguments is about playing multiplayer.

Hosting a website isn't free, so without traffic this site stops existing, and if you want traffic you have to play the game. I legitimately thought the title was good. Not because I like it, but because it's the kind of title people will click on. This site needs that.
