[NFL] Rookies of the year

Recommended Posts

The AP finally announced the rookies of the year in both offense and defence. Vince Yound and DeMeco Ryans are the winners.

Its good to see young with the award. I remember many neowinians discarding him at the beggining of the season (Including me).

This must be one of the best seasons for rookies in the past years. I cant remember a year were this many rookies made an immediate impact. Vince Young, Reggie Bush, Marques Colston, Jay Cutler, Matt Leinhart, Devin Hester, Maurice Drew Jones, Joseph Addai, Santonio Holmes, Mark Anderson, A.J. Hawk, Kamerion Wimbley, and a very big long etc.

The entire class of 2006 might be called Rookie of the year. Hope this get as legendary as the class of 1983

I agree it's been a great year of rookies. I'm not sure I agree with the winners, but like you said many rookies made a big impact this year. And I think what helped Vince is how that team has turned it around toward the end of the season. Great job they done there! Should be a good team next year.

I saw a couple of Titans games this year. Young is impressive, he is like Vick 2.0: Knows how to run but also knows how to pass. In the long term I expect Jay Cutler to be a better QB but also I expect Young to be a better all-around player.

To be honest this has been the most exciting season for me in years. I love how this year turned to be.

Chargers vs Saints at the SB!

I guess I would be more impressed if I had seen him more. I only got to see him play once. I did see some highlights..but that doesn't usually tell the whole story. I was thinking some of the RB's might be a winner. I seen many of their games and man they were impressive. But I think it's easier for a RB to come in and make an impact then it is for a QB. So It's not totally a shock that Vince got it.

Saints vs Chargers in SB? Only problem I have with this is the Saints lost to Dallas. I actually think the Eagles might get back into the SB. I know crazy but the way they have been playing and I don't see anyone else dominating. The bears are good, but with the Eagles Defense they might beat them by their Defense scoring on the Bears Offense. Just a thought. I'm not saying I want that. If Dallas was to somehow turn it on and win it all I would not be upset :D

Hey you two...we had pickem going this year. Where ya been?

Hey BOOG, sorry I decided to set this year out. May try again next year. But this year was a lot of other things going on. Fact was a time I wasn't very active here this year. I read when I could but posted very little. Thanks for missing me :D

I will be very honest... I forgot  And when I remembered I was just too depressed by the Steelers performance this year to care anymore.

I hope Young doesn't turn into another Vick. One Vick is becoming enough problem for the league already. I hope Leinhart recovers from his injury and has a great sophomore year.

I trust Young can become a revamped (revisited) version of Vick minus the attitude. And I am confident that the QB class of 2006 (Young, Leinhart, Cutler and even Gardowski or whatever his last name is) its going to be a fine contender against the class of 1983.

Ummm... the Saints beat the snot out of Dallas.... 42-17  (btw, I love that look on Parcell's face at the end... priceless)

It's a shame that Colston got hurt this year. I think if he wouldn't have gotten hurt and would've gotten more TDs, he would've won. As for Young, man that guy is incredible. Look out for this guy. He's got quite a future ahead, provided he stays healthy physically and mentally (ya know, letting the fame get to his head and stuff).

That's right my mistake it was the next game they lost, Washington. My mistake and I can't believe I made it. I watched that game in pain. I didn't have the delusion of winning but I thought it would be a game. Sorry bout that mistake.

 I can tell from your comment that you were deeply impacted by it. Yeah, that Washington game was bad. They didn't click what so ever, but hey, every team has moments like that.

Geaux Saints! :)

Mario Williams who? :p lol

Williams did good too. Ok, maybe he played like a real rookie (In comparison the rest of the 06 class had a great year that any veteran would like to have) but that doenst mean he did bad.

Vince Young really answered his doubters(including me).....i didnt think he would do well in the NFL as a QB and would have to switch to WR

And I even think he can do receiving too. He could be everything Kordell Stewart wanted to be.

    • Thanks for liking it! 😊 That's Arch Linux with Gnome.
    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • It won't perform hugely better than the 3080 unless you're VRAM limited in games. Have you tried putting new thermal pads on them 3080 and giving it a good clean to see if you can regain your temps and overclock?
