Bluetang is basically made for the tango icon set since I absolutely love it. I just started working on it today and so this is only a mock up that is partially finished. Im hoping I can actually finish this one unlike my others I started. If I decide I can not I will post everything I have so far. Now for the mock up...

*Although many things may look like elements from other visual styles I did not steal them. Ya many things look like Hmmxp but I did not steal them it just influenced it.

Wow! That really looks good :) May I make a few suggestions?

It'd be really great to see a Tango "purple" version. The blue goes great with the Tango folders but the official Tango purple would make this visual style perfect in my eyes. It's not really purple. More like a midnight blue ;). An example of this color would be from the header (where the Tango! logo is) on http://www.tango-project.org.

Did you base this VS off of HmmXP? I like that start button! Anyway to make the taskbar and title bars a teensy tiny bit larger (just in the height)? Just enough so the icons an text aren't jam packed. Also, is it possible to make the minimize, maximize, and close buttons a tad bit bigger? Just enough so the mouse won't have a hard time clicking on them.

Were your intentions to have the buttons in the taskbar be cut off at the bottom? I LOVE that style. Everything looks really awesome! These are just suggestions. My two cents ;). I really do hope you finish this. If not, I'd love to have a go at it! Keep us posted!

Er...the links point to the Buuf Shell Patcher WIP. Not a Tango theme at all. Even if it WAS a Tango theme, it probably would look very similar due to the strict guidelines of design Tango has. Could you clarify what you meant in your post? I'm not sure I fully understand your comparison or intentions.

Looks great I like the title bar, can't wait until it's finished,PLEASE make sure it has fonts that do not need cleartype to be readable(like many other styles recently) so I don't go blind looking at my CRT :pinch:

[offtopic]many crts actually look better with cleartype. if y ou haven't tried it, i suggest you do so and keep it for a day or so and see how you like it. an aperture grille crt like a sony trinitron seems to work the best, next to an lcd.[/offtopic]

already tried that for a couple of days and it was horrible, although I have a new 19 inch lcd so it doesn't matter anymore.

    • Why? Does anybody actually want this? The constant need to close all browser sessions and wait for a new version to install, just so that there’s a integrated coupon manager feels like a waste of everyone’s time

    • Microsoft about to radically change how often your Edge browser updates by Paul Hill Microsoft has just announced that starting with Edge 152, it will be moving to a two-week release cycle for faster, smaller updates. This faster release cadence will begin on August 27. This change comes just several months after Microsoft switched Visual Studio Code to weekly updates. The company said that the Extended Stable releases will remain on an eight-week cycle and that no admin changes are needed to experience the faster release cycle on the Stable channel. The new two-week release cycle will enable the faster delivery of security updates and platform improvements, all while reducing the size and complexity of individual updates. Microsoft claims that organizations will benefit from this change as it offers predictable validation cycles. For organizations that prefer a “more deliberate pace”, the Extended Stable channel remains an option. This change will affect Edge Stable releases on Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile. The Extended Stable channel will continue to be updated every eight weeks, or every fourth Stable release, for example: versions 152, 156, 160, and 164. The Extended Stable could be a good option for organizations that don’t want the latest updates twice a month and don’t want as much hassle constantly updating browsers. In the case of Visual Studio Code, many of the updates being pushed by Microsoft are AI-related. As we all know, Microsoft Edge has a lot of AI features, so we could see Microsoft pushing more AI, thanks to the faster cycles. On the flip side, quicker releases could mean faster security updates, which is beneficial in a world where AI systems are hunting for software exploits. What do you think? Let us know in the comments. For more updates on Edge, be sure to follow Neowin's coverage. In May alone, we reported on Edge offering in-browser pop-ups to assist users with website compatibility issues, that Edge was losing Copilot Mode, and that Microsoft had fixed a plain-text password bug in Edge. • not yet, because at the moment it is not a threat to MS, if and I mean if it did become a threat to MS Office, then it may be a different thing. MS don't like competition
