Ms-dos Boot Cd

Does anyone know how I can make a cd that will boot into MS-DOS incase of an emergecy so I could use all the utilitys i need, i dont want to use floppy disk emulation because i dont trust them... lol anyway your help would be much appreaciated.

I dont want to use the recovery console because you cant use other programs in it, i have ntfs dos pro so using ntfs isnt a prob for me.

hmm im not sure if this is what u want to do, but i use a custom win98 bootdisk, saving it as a .ima file using winimage and then burn that image with nero, using bootable cd option. On that cd i add all other apps/drivers that i might need.

would this 98 repair disk have ntfs support cos then that would be gr8

yes! thats exactly what i want. Can you send me the image file or explain more deaply how to do that?

best bet is to make ms-dos v7 bootcd(win98se bootcd) and get the app called ntfs4dos, which allows ntfs reading(shareware) or if you pay for it read/write access.

once youve booted with the NTFSDOS Disk, youre in dos and any files for:

repair/recovery/whatever you want to do

on a disk or cd will work just fine in the NTFSDOS environment, so is your question which apps to put on for "repair/recovery/whatever you want to do"?

because a win98 bootdisk should suffice, although there are plenty of sites on additional dos apps to fix what ails ya
