scan folder for errors

I have a list of videos in a folder.. and theres maybe 40 of them inside.. but this is the old folder on Vista that lags me so bad!

the preview is set on details, so no images are loading.. but even renaming a file takes 4-5 seconds for it to even responde, and any action (typing, saving, moving, etc..) all lag this folder.

I know 1 or 2 of the movies are currupt so i want to scan this file for errors and see what is causing this, can anyone recommend a good program that will find and/or fix this error.

Yeah.... CHKDSK! Computer, Right Click Hard Drive, Propertys, Tools, Check For Errors, Check Both Boxes, Start!

is there anything for just a single folder?

I Doubt it.. you could always you CMD to manualy browse the folder and delete the files like that! otherwise, try safemode!

but seriously.. do a disk diagnostic with chkdsk!

i ran chkdsk.. and no errors were found...

i checked the folder now.. it seems fine.. wtf.
