here is something to take into mind when makin he new XP shell32.dll.

Don't make the 16 bit, 256 bit, etc. colours. Just make the XP colours.

That's a truly stupid idea! If one of us falls in to fatal trouble with our computers whats gonna happen no icons! Other colours are there just incase this happens bear this in mind. You don't have to make other colour versions of them use the original low colour ones saves time and could help someone in safe mode. I'll only authorise this if these precautions are taken. :sun:

I too would at least like at least the low color versions that are included in the original shell32 to stay for the new one (if the comp falls into trouble, i hardly think ill care if my icons are pixelated while im trying to fix the prob)

Whistler: I can host your sig within my account. You'll have to send the sig to me, as i dont have a server, just an account w/ unlimited space. If your interested, MSN me (or PM me)

Alright ppl, lets hear some requests

My sig is the MAX size it can be: 400 x 190...

...I had to re-size mine a few weeks ago b/c Keldyn made me change it. But what was wierd was that Spyder (Mod in Gamer's Hangout) NEVER said a thing about it...   ...oh well!

How come your sig changes by the minute? Is there a program changing it or is it in your sigs code?

It's a *.PHP text file file I placed in the same directory as my images...it's a pain in the butt to explain so please don't ask me to describe it. There are a few threads in the "Web Programming" section that will explain how to do it tho...

...I have 60 images rotating btw...

*Request. Can someone make a PNG of an "M" ( for mozilla ) I want a blue back round, in the same style as the image below. although I would like the outer ring a little thicker . and the blue a little darker

Thanks

    • What I like about Paint is using it almost exclusively for cropping and resizing images I get elsewhere--it's quick, easy and cheap... I keep it glued to my taskbar, in fact.
    • I still remember it fondly today. It was so cool to work in 64-color Half Bright mode and 4.096-color HAM mode (interlaced) when x86 was still in 4-color CGA or 16-color EGA low res. C= never realized what it had until it was far too late--the failure of C= was the failure of its top management. The C= Amiga was 20 years ahead of its time, I always thought. It didn't hurt that in only 512k of chip memory, the Amiga could preemptively multitask when Apple was still doing gray scale graphics on tiny screens and along with everyone else was doing cooperative multitasking (running more than one app at a time in resident memory, but you could only run one of them at a time--had to manually switch between them.) I had a ball with AREXX scripting running between programs that had AREXX ports so that when you sent other applications data and instructions, those running applications could process the same in real time to output! Memories...
    • I'm not sure about that, but it at least "does" a version of 7.1 that this brand new card doesn't....

    • I can barely recall getting web results from a file search... I must've turned it off long ago. 26H2 is Insider's Preview build 26300.8697, which I am running, atm. It is not available for people running the standard commercial builds of Windows--only for the beta test Insider's group. But anyway, as mentioned in the thread, this feature has been around for a long time...
