I spoke to the artist who has desiend the XP icon set. He has used some 3D program to make them. I have some of his early designs, I think they were better than what MS later went with. Let me find them and I will post them.

Well, did you find the pics yet? I'm anxious to see them! :)

Hi AshMan :D

Could you explain that better?I didn?t know that.

As i know the XP iconset was originally developped by Iconfactory for Microsoft. The programs used were Illustrator/Freenhand and Photoshop aswell Iconbuilder Pro on a Mac platform. Who has you been talking with? Can you please post the screenshot with the designs you are talking about? I would like to see them!

Thank you:DD

The recycle bin empty and full aswell as the Internet Explorer icons were (re)created by me. Can you please remove them from your icons page since you hadn?t requested permission to distribute them?

Thank you.

Mike one of the Internet Explorer ones hyperb0le edited so it did not look so fat so he could keep that one. And when do you plan to release your other superb quality PNGs to the public?

Ya he edited the Internet Explorer icon and distributed it without askinfg permission too. However he doesn?t like when other people edit his icos without consulting him first... i didnt mind that he had released my Internet Explorer icon without asking my permission first, and i didn?t mention it until now because that?s the only icon in his page created by me. Now he added the recicly bin empty and full icons too and these ones weren?t even edited by him.I think it?s too much. That?s why i?m requesting him to remove all my icons, edited or not by him, from his page.

About my icons: I?m recreating them in hi res to distribute with one ofMobydock?s next versions. I?m not doing the complete icon XP set. Only the necessary ones for the dock default setup. Maybe i will do an extra pack with the drives etc if there will be enought requests.

Anyway hyperb0le is doing a great job recreating the xp set so there?s no need to do another one.

I agree it was realy annoying the other day when I saw two of my pngs on anothers page and there was no reference to me. And incedentaly anyone whos going to put my icons in anything PM me first and always give credit. I don't like : Icons created by hyperb0le, dominik, and other authors Never people, always give credit to anyone who made them and always ask who made them first. Make that a rule.

mikegraphik: Can you atleast release your WMP png it looks real genuine. Please. :-)

themonke can you possibly do the floppy and CD variations of the disk drive you don't have to it's just a suggestion so they match all with matalic effects. You could even havethe CD and floppy mitalic XP :) Just an idea.

sure, gimme some time, it's gonna take a while until i'm pleased w/ them

and i agree w/ you on the credits thing

    • On xiaomi hyperos there's also an option to disable google assistant. I've got everything disabled. Only thing I do have installed is a web wrapped for duck.ai which claims to let you use various AIs anonymously
    • I need to understand the rationale of not shipping all of these K2 improvements in a single update/release. It's giving "we will fix Windows 11 but no commitments". It seems to me that they just announce these improvements just to appease the community.
    • The term "RTM" is long gone starting with Windows 10. Every current release is a GA build. This is the result of MS making Windows as a Service (WaaS).
    • Looks like no official TBW rating, which should be a required listing in my opinion for sites like Amazon (hell, put it on the box too.)
