My Power brick exploded and started a fire on my desk

Recommended Posts

Well Apple just called me from a Texas number. They are sending me a new power adapter. Quote on quote "Hi my name is so and so how are you, would it be possible for you to send me some photos for us to look at. In the meantime we will send you a replacement adapter" then again he said "in the meantime while we investigate this issue we will send you a replacement adapter" i told the guy that was great and it wasnt my intention to sue or make a huge deal out of it. but that i was scared of what could have happened and i wanted to handle the matter appropriately. so far i think this is good news. he was very professional and seemed to understand my concerns.

its good that apple decides to replace the power brick asap. as for some people saying sue sue sue. well get real. so the house "could" have burnt down or someone "could" have died but the fact is no serious damages/deaths occurred. no sane judge would grant the OP any significant amount of money for something like this.

ok even if OP does sue and the lawyer is crazy enough to offer free services until the case is closed, apple's lawyers will likely to have the case drag on for so long that no regular individual would want to go thru for a power brick which apple already decides to replace.
