I assume that means it doesn't work?!

Please try and d/l again, the first upload went wrong (the new fangled AJAX upload UI on DA has a few 'quirks'!)

I redownloaded v1.2 again and and now the toolbar fill is okay. But the buttons for maximized subwindows still don't fit the rest of the theme.

Oh I see, I didn't realise that you meant that. Oh well, I'll roll out 1.3 when I get a chance!

The icons fixed in 1.2 were the Photoshop toolbar min/max icons.

No problem. The vs is very good anyway. Thanks for your great work and responsiveness.

What do you mean by "traditional start button"?

Have a look at the substyles...

Here's a mod I did of the Blue (traditional start button) theme using some bmp images from a few different themes from the past which some of you may recognize. They fit nicely overall with the core of this vs. The colors are very soothing and easy on the eyes.

You ruined a great vs...

Just posting here to say that I really like this VS. It's actually the first VS I've used in over 3 years (I've been on Luna blue for just too long). The black substyle also goes very well with the black theme in Office 2007. I now just need a new icon set (following the style set by Office 2007) and wallpaper to go with this theme. This also seems to be the most usable of the black themes with redesigned start buttons.

This VS is very nice and was easily adopted by everyone in the family. I personally feel that there's more refinement left in the author with respect to this theme. For me I wish there were a darker shade of compatible blue for the taskbarbackground /taskbartray. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the blast of Office blue on the screen. Yet, there's no denying it. This is a well crafted visual style. Kudos!

    • Absolutely NOBODY has suggested such a conclusion. I am affirming the sober reality check that AV2's overall market adoption will take longer than AV1's adoption rate -- which, by the way, is the whole point of the article! While PCI-SIG is productive (on paper), other WGs have created all sorts of confusing progress plans that consumers have tuned-out of their improvements... HTML/W3C, USB, HDMI, BT, WIFI (ieee802.11) as a few other groups where spec naming conventions, split progress paths, overlapping ambitions... I'm not critiquing the AV specs group; I'm simply affirming that adoption for AV2 faces headwinds beyond the macroeconomics of it all.

    • No thanks! WebView trash is unacceptable. I only use software that's native.
