i wouldlike a script file that will collect the eventlog data from clients on my network and output into atxt file, and possible clear the event gs after its complete. The problem is the text file needs to have machine name and the log data and would like to call for certain eventlog id types is possible.

since you want a script file, I cannot help you directly.

But we have a tool here, that you can fully configure to do exactly this. Plus you can do much more - filtering, different output, syslog forwarding and many more.
