SPaCe, can you make your version of the theme with another font please?

Can do! any ideas on which one??

personally, i'd like the title bars as is, but i'd think everything else would look better with tahoma, not bolded.

ahh, thats why.. I'll be sure to create one for that res for ya.

Im going to be making a 1024x768, 1152x768, and a 1280x960. 1280x1024, is already made.

could u please make a 1600x1200 one... why doesnt anyone here use that resolution besides me and danimator? :(

Update:

Changed back to round tasktray, color tweaks, start menu tweaks, etc...still only for 1600x1200.

Geesh the other theme is starting to look more and more like mine ;)

1600x1200. muhahahaha

My desktop running Danimator's MCE modified for 1280x1024(960) and XERO's tray / Active desktop. (Not a fan of my original curved tray that danimator now implements as it doesn't have the shadow effect.) I am however working on a curved chevroon+tray w/ shadow effect.

Press The Green Button

I was fiddling around in explorer.exe with resource hacker and the pic below is the result....

ICEPGBsm.jpg

Notice the baloon popup when mouse is on Start button says Press The Green Button instead

of the old and boring Click here to begin. It is simple really just open explorer.exe in resource

hacker go to the view menu choose find text and enter click here to begin. Then it will navigate

to the found text and highlight it. I replaced the text with Press The Green Button and clicked compile.

Then saved the explorer to a temp space on hdd like drive d: for example. and then run task manager

end task for explorer navigate to c:\windows\system32\dllcache and replace the present explorer.exe

with your new one (MAKE SURE TO BACKUP ORIGINAL FILE FIRST) then navigate to c:\windows and

replace the explorer.exe with your new one aswell. Now select the new one in c:\windows and hit ok

and it will load. Place your mouse over the start button and viola. If you get a windows system

file protection popup click cancel.

Good Luck :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot:

Here is fullscreen img....

Definitely not the one on the right. The one on the left is good, but I think the current scrollbars are better. If I were you I would change the center bar (or indicator or whatever though to something a little more like the one on the left there. Just a solid block that matches the color of the down and up buttons on the current scrollbar. Right now it doesn't seem to be the same color and those little lines are not necessary.

Update 12/12: ALL RESOLUTIONS now supported. Still might be some bugs in them as i didnt test each one fully yet. See first post for links.

Only 640x480 not supported. Dont know anyone uses it. But 1600x1400 1400x1280 1280x1024 1024x768 800x600 supported.

If theres glitches please post a screen shot as well as which resolution its in, Havent fully tweaked and fixed each one yet.

Slight major bug with the new resolutions.

All the new res's (I'm assuming 1600 was the orignal) arn't calling the StyleShell.dll and leaving the wonderful little side bars in explorer looking very Windows '98y. :/

Excelent theme though ^_^ Can I request a possible future edition to include the option of a Star Menu with the User Icon in?

Update 12\15: Added 2 more resolutions (640x480 and 1152x864) and fixed radiobuttons and minor tweaks. if you have trouble with shellstyle not working in other resolutions, copy the shell folder to the root directory of the themes folder, should work fine then.

See first post for screenie and links.

    • Lol I had one of these turn faulty in Jan, guess it wasn't just bad luck lol
    • I'm team Rossmann all the way. I have the exact same NVME, altough not in an array like him.
    • It had gone weeks ago. Although thinking about it I'm on the beta.
    • They thought value of their goods would forever only drop like it used to and didn't account for sudden increase in price because of all the Ai hype. Tough luck Samsung, don't try to weasel this one out. Also American customer protection laws are a**. In Europe, you need to be compensated for a functioning product of same or better characteristics (not same price point as when it was originally bought!) if it can't be repaired and when you receive a replacement product your warranty starts from scratch because you received a different item than you previously had and old warranty thus cannot apply to it anymore. If your actual item was successfully repaired, warranty gets extended for the period the item was in service. If item is repaired to a significant extent, warranty also starts over from scratch because major part of it was replaced. Americans need to fight to get this kind of consumer protections because they are constantly getting screwed over.
    • Microsoft releases new Windows 11 Media Creation Tool with the latest updates by Taras Buria Patch Tuesday updates arrive every month, bringing users new features and security updates. To make sure customers have access to the most recent images, Microsoft also releases updates to the Media Creation Tool app, its official utility for Windows 11 installation. Today, the company pushed new ISOs to Media Creation Tool, allowing you to create images with the June 2026 Patch Tuesday updates. With the latest update, the Media Creation Tool now downloads KB5094126. It is Windows 11 version 25H2, build 26200.8655, which is also available via Windows Update. Note that the app itself remains on the previous version, which you can check in Properties > Details. The only change is that it now downloads a more recent Windows 11 build, so the only way to check is to download an ISO. The June 2026 Patch Tuesday update is a special release for Windows 11, as it brings a new performance profile to make the operating system more responsive and snappier when rendering various user interface surfaces, including the Start menu, quick settings, and more. It does so by spiking processor speeds for a brief moment, resulting in higher loads for a second or two. The so-called “Low latency profile” is rolling out gradually, but you can force-enable it with the ViVeTool app. Other changes include webcam improvements, Task Manager updates, shared audio support, and more. You can download the Media Creation Tool app from the official Microsoft website using this link. Besides MCT, Microsoft lets you download Windows 11 ISO as a file directly from the official Windows 11 website. However, you will need a third-party app to write it to your USB drive. Check out this guide if you want to know how to do that.
