I'm looking for an elegant, simple forum script that includes, most importantly, an RSS feed (syndicator).
I need the RSS feed to use on another page of my site to show "recent forum posts" and should show the thread title and the name of the poster.
I've found LOADS of scripts, some of the are absolutely PERFECT apart from not having the feature to give an RSS feed, so alternatively is there a way to create an RSS feed from one of these forum "scripts".
I love Linux and use it for the majority of my servers (except the Windows stuff) but it’s not yet that great on the desktop yet unless you’re a power user. The added cost of training, ongoing support and compatibility issues with documents from everyone else using windows, office and acrobat negate the benefits of switching over.
"I use Linuxmint on a virtual machine and it is clear how fast it is compared to the rigid Windows."
Yes, especially overall. I have been on Mint as my general use OS since Jan 2019 and I don't regret the change. Windows is just all around more sluggish as stuff like updates take noticeably longer etc. even strictly loading VM's through QEMU/KVM you can feel the difference there to.
