I have just installed a webpart on the server for adding graphical interfaces in lists etc which looks very useful. From a microsoft download called STSTPKL.exe

IT did mention that sharepoint will need a restart, how ever im really struggling to do this.

If i launch IIS Manager there is no site listed.

I cannot connect to the sharepoint site at all, and the IIS Admin service will not start (i assume services/processes are holding onto it). Because the Admin wont start, it will not let me do a IISReset.exe

Anyone have any ideas on how to reboot sharepoint without restarting?

I have made everyone aware that im planning on rebooting the server at dinner time, but i dont want to if i can.

i thought it may have been World wide web publishing because the service is set to automatic but its not started.

IF i try to start that i get:

Error 1068: The dependency servier or group failed to start.

i would like to reboot, but id also like to get it going :(
