Can not update my score in Windows Experience Index

Recommended Posts

Hello!

When I try to update my score in Windows Experience Index, I recieve the following error-message:

Cannot complete the the requested assessment.

This system does not have the necessary multi-media support to run the requested assessment.

I don't know exactly when this error occured for the first time, but my Vista is not yet activated (should not be necessary, it's still 10 days left to activate), but the Experience Index worked fine the first week or so. I installed the Nvidia 100.65 driver for a couple of days ago, but I'm not shure if the problem started with that driver.

Cheers

I am having a similar issue, I had a rating of 5.2 working fine in the first week or two of Vista, it is activated, and I didnt notice the exact time it happened, but I guess it would have been around the time I installed the nVidia 100.65 GeForce drivers. When I open my computer properties the rating icon shows 5.0 with a greyed out background rather than blue, and it has a hyperlink saying "Windows Experience Index: Unrated" which when I click opens Performance Information and Tools which gets me nowhere. Anybody else getting this problem or anything similar?

I am running 2x 7900GS's, however I have just found that one is not functioning, I have removed it and the WEI will still not update.

EDIT: I have just uninstalled both 7900 Cards' nVidia ForceWare drivers, and put them back on the Microsoft WDDM drivers. My WEI is now showing 5.0 with a blue background as it should, with the Windows Experience Index hyperlink to the right, however when I click this it continues to go to Performance Information and Tools with no show of the subscores etc.
