boo hoo. so they knew about this, yet anticipated a Wednesday, the 11th release? losers. shagem. We got other stuff to work with. Sorry for being so negative about it, but its true. All of tyhis was decided "the night of the release" please, grow up.

I really dont think many people care about the AIM+ software anymore either. Especially after this stunt. We'll find other sources elsewhere.

my ****ed off opinion.

Mike

you guys seriously don't believe that the mysql errors were true, do you? did you not see the ryan.big-o-software.com and the mark.big-o-software.com pages? bs like some mysql error is really gonna say that.

DeadAIM is now what i use, and i can guarantee that i'm not the only one that switched to it because of this lame stunt. screw them cuz they're morons

nah, i like aim 5 and deadaim 3. works great for me. but the only real reason i wanted aim+ or deadaim in the first place was just so i could have a history of my conversations. the fact that deadaim has a tabbed interface just makes it a whole bunch better. but i haven't seen anything about myim so i'm gonna check that out too. i've heard some good stuff about it.

Well, this is an unfortunate development. Assuming this it legit, then I have no alternative but to try DeadAIM. I prefer to use AIM+, but if they knew that problems existed, they should have never promised a release date. AIM+ should have been reasonably prepared for public consumption for them to decide on a release date. Further, this was the case according to their own postings. They led their supporters to believe that AIM+ was ready and that the only reason to delay to the 11th was of symbolic significance. This really feels like a slap in the face because it avoids an important issue: Is the software actually ready as has been repeatedly stated on Big-O's website? If so, then why not release it?

As for the personal attacks they claim, if it's true and they blame those on the development on AIM+, then whether it's a good enough reason to halt the advancement of AIM+ is a decision they have to make for themselves. Personally, I'm not buying it. But I don't know what's really going on, so it's not up to me to pass judgment. For my part, I've been loyal, patient and moreover, silent. But seeing those made up "errors" on their personal sub-domains doesn't help their case in my view. They choose to halt the development of AIM+? Fine, then I go elsewhere. Nothing personal, just business.

i agree with bangbang023 lol. but since this topic is yet alive again. i think aim+ would be better. it had a better log which was instant logging. unlike deadaim where you have to close the window, then the log is updated.

but we can't do anything anymore. aim+ is dead just like yz dock :-/. thanx a lot jdennis for taking out all competition..

So you know, aimutation has on the fly logging now. You don't need to close the window.
