firefox mainly although I'm quite comfortable using IE7 if that isnt available (public or win update ect). 97% of the time its firefox.

I tried opera on a few occasions. I dont know it lacked a certain something for me. Good browser but its the small differences it had to firefox that threw me and seeing as FFx works for me I didnt feel the need to go delving into setting up Opera in a way to suit me more. Not dissing it but as it was great in its own right.

Firefox unfortunately, if it didn't have extensions I wouldn't even consider using it (Slow, Buggy, Memory Hog). I really hope opera gets a *decent* extension system in v10.

Three questions for you

Have you got a million useless extensions? (if yes then do some cleaning) (if no then continue)

Are you running the newest FF? (if yes then continue) (if no the get it!)

Have you done any tweaking? (if no then there is your main reason for FF being so slow!)

(This post was not meant for offense)

You probably won't like this but, i think it is very early for Firefox to be the top with its pretty slow engine and utterly overblown system consumption. I mean c'mon, you can't even "smooth scroll" with it. Even when it is on. And we all know that this is an essential thing for browsing.

I am using IE7, cause i got used to it. But if you ask me which is the best, i'd shout out "Opera" without a doubt. It is fast, it is secure, and it can be added a lot of new extensions just like Firefox extensions. I sometimes use it, but somehow my mouse pointer goes over to IE, whenever i browse :) I couldn't break free of it.

But as Firefox is open-source, i am sure it'll be pretty good in time. But not yet.
