before i bought my imac i was a firefox user. then one day, for no real reason, i just started using opera. freakin love it. it's still on there, although i don't even touch that machine anymore...

when i bought my imac i just used safari. it did the job. then i downloaded opera for os x, but it just didn't feel the same for some reason.. so now i'm using firefox, which i think i'll stay with.

woot.

Until recently, I was using FireFox again; I'd been cut off since our days of FireFox vs. Safari on the family Mac.

Not too long ago, though, FireFox just started acted oddly. Perhaps a patch? I don't know. But my toolbars reset themselves every time I open the browser and my download addon is broken (probably due to a patch.) Could I just uninstall and fix all this? Sure. Just haven't wanted to go to that trouble.

So my vote goes to Opera. I might change again soon, but I really like it; browsing is smooth, and I love the built in mouse gestures; the FireFox addon just doesn't quite do it for me.

Konqueror, best browser ever.

I like Konqueror very much, but it just won't let me use it. Some sites I visit frequently don't work with it properly, and I can't even reply to this post in Konqueror! :pinch: To be more specific, the attachment part keeps loading all the time and the textarea don't accept input, I can only type in the textbox...

firefox is my main browser,i also have opera but rarely use it and i hate ie.with firefox i can customize it to how i want and extensions are plentiful,i have ie 6 locked down for the rare time i need to use it.

I'm proud of Opera for being this popular. I used to use Opera but since it's pretty lackluster on OS X, I moved to Firefox while using my Mac. On my PC I still usually end up using Opera because I still like it.

But I voted for Firefox because it's my default browser for now.

Currently firefox is my favorite browser.

I love how it is customisable.

I use a lot of extensions:

- CustomizeGoogle : filter all undesirable results with google !

- Firefox Extension Backup Extension (FEBE) : why re-installing every extensions on firefox after formatting ? just backup everything !

- IE Tab: Just define which website you would like to use the internet explorer rendering engine. Example: hotmail (microsoft does it best to ensure incompatibility with firefox)

- Resurrect pages: if a page cannot be displayed, let's take a look in google's cache or looking in "coral network"

- Searchstatus: let's display google rank + alexa rank of any website

- Sitebarclient: if you own a website, you can save bookmarks on the server, and then access bookmarks from everywhere.

- Stumbleupon: let you discover new websites, one of the most interesting way to spend spare time ....

- Tabpreview: show a preview of each page visited when hovering the tabs

- Web developper Usefull for webmasters. ( I also use the DOM Inspector)

I wish firefox load pages as fast as opera, or that opera has the interface of firefox.

The next coming version, "firefox 3" is already downloadable in alpha stage (currently alpha 5) here.

This version load pages faster , and pass sucessfully the acid2 test (css intensive testing).

Although IE7 is a good browser, I would never switch to it. The main reason microsoft has put so much effort in developping a better version of IE , is because of its competitor firefox. So if you don't want microsoft to freeze the developpment state of IE, just avoid adoption of it. Moreover IE is not completly compliant to standards , and the more people will use firefox or any alternative, and the microsoft will be forced to comply with standards (otherwise most of page would badly displayed under IE).

And for people that thinks IE7 works better under vista, here's a suggestion:

define SegoeUI as the default font for firefox (or alternative) ....

What's wrong with Opera on OS X? Granted, it doesn't use native Aqua widgets, but at least it blends much better than Firefox on OS X does.

    • According to the developer(s):
    • Most of the sellers are selling under a business name, and you can't jail a business. The best option would be to blanket ban brick chargers and regulate fixed PD faceplates for wall as a spur from existing sockets. That way they'd be checked with during during an EICR.
    • Totally ridiculous! They wonder why people can't stand their company...
