Yahoo Messenger for Vista?

Does anyone know any more about yahoo's messenger for vista?! I'm tired of using the old boring version that gives me plug in errors. :angry:

Anyone know tentitive release date or anything? :huh:

Looks awesome, but I don't see it coming around anytime soon. I hope to see more WPF enabled apps in the very near future though.

i love it, cant wait for it to come out, IMO i think it would sell vista if they showed that around a bit, instead of vistas stupid 3d flip lol.

I'm waitin for that too, I can't believe they're taking so long to bring it out. They previewed it a month before vista was released to the public over 2 months ago!

Sad as it may be, it also sold vista to me, I envisioned a whole host of apps like that being available within a month of vista's release. Still waiting for just one.

From what the guy says in the video preview on Yahoo. It sounds like a beta this summer followed by the final later this year.

And yes, they really need to start showing it off more than this little video preview they've been showing. IMO it blows away Windows Live Messenger and I haven't even touched it yet. It's great that they actually utilized the features of Vista with it. I'm still dissapointed Microsoft didn't do the same for WLM. It's also completely re-written.

Yups seen it a while ago and I formatted my laptop to install Vista but then waited for it forever and now I am back to XP. Will go back to Vista once they actually release it.

You can always use Trillian on Vista for you Yahoo needs.

That... isn't really the point.. you can always use the old yahoo for your yahoo needs. It looks and feels like crap though.

Exactly, the whole point of new Yahoo Messanger is to use the WPF of .NET Framework 3.0 which comes with Vista and use it's functionality. We don't want to go back in stone ages.

If you just need yahoo you can use online messanger too.

i am actually rather surprised it has never been leaked or at least released on a beta version or something . they beta test all of their other main releases of the messenger why not this one this time.
