please help with hardware key

okay well i am currently using VE LXi Apprentice which is a vinyl software that goes with a plotter that i have and the program uses a USB HARDWARE KEY well the key is missing and to get a new one its around 400.00 us dollars. so i tried to see if i can find a way to bypass the key but to no avail i cannot find a way to do i. so i decided to come on the good old forums at neowin here and see if i cna get any help here. the only thing im trying to do is bypass that hardware maybe think that the key is there or something of the sort.

key goes in usb port, you start the software and the program will open, if the key is missing then you will get an error message saying, "Please insert hardware key and restart the program"

if anyone has any ideas on how i could bypass this that would be great. Reall dont feel like spendin 400 on a USB dongle.

Sorry - discussions on circumventing protection schemes like dongles are not allowed here on Neowin.

I hope you find your lost USB dongle though :)
