Hi everyone,

I haven't been around since a while, just got busy with my own site and building some gadgets.

Here is my latest development... A speedfan gadget that will show you all the info Speedfan can get out of your system.

Enjoy and feel free to join the The Hobby Lounge for further support ;)

It just shows a blank box. (I am running the latest speedfan x64)

There might still be situations with shared memory from speedfan on certain x64 based systems, althought it might be related to something else....

Tell me more and i'll be glad to help out.

I'm updating regularly so don't hesitate to comment or leave feedback on THL :)

Nice, but I *hate* Speedfan... always giving wrong results

I made an Everest Version too but unfortunately i still need to update the interface etc.....and Everest isn't free anymore, your choice ;)

Its called the Multi Temp v1.1 and is available on THL :)

I forgot to ad, here is a little tool to check if your speedfan version is compatible with the shared memory attribution :)

This is often used to see if you can get the values out from speedfan on x64 based system.

So try it out, it takes a second and if the values are showing up in this tester, than you should be fine for the Speedfan Meter gadget ;)

i attached a screenshot on how it should look ;)

I saw it, but I need to subscribe to the forum, and subscribing for only trying a gadget is kinda useless since Everest do it on my G15 keyboard if I want.

Nah, I wanted to say in my post that it's nice work, just don't work for me ;)

I use your Dual Core Meter and it's the best (Y)

You're welcome for the Multi Meter ;)

Is it possible to actually code something complex like this without the need for Speedfan/Everest?

Theoretically it is possible, although i certainly can't manage to do that, If anybody does, feel free to share the info ;)

Stay tuned for the upcoming update :)

SFKilla thanks for this I tried it and it works fine but..

I am using an Abit uguru MB which means speedfan extends it usual readings (for example there are 8 fan values and 20 voltage values)

Your gadget only caters for 7 (?) of each which means I can only display some of the uguru readings

Ok i see, thanks for reporting... i will up to 20 voltage values ;)

Here is already Speddfan Meter build v1.4: Download

- Shortcut bug fixed in certain situations

- Added up more values - 12temps - 9volts - 6fans

Since i know you can need more values for certain extensions like yours, i will add more values to all in the next update...other options will come too and the way to settle titles and values might change and become more fun too.

Here is the next small update :)

- Possibility to see all speedfan values ( Uguru systems also )

12 temps

12 fan speeds

20 Voltage values

- New way to settle down your own titles (just type it in)

- New way to select values

- Possibility to leave blank values

- speedfan 4.32 download link inside options

PS: Don't forget to check the support link inside the gadget options ( question mark icon )

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
