If your talking about Programs vs System in the Advanced Options on System - Unless its a server always choose Programs :p

No not that either. Large System Cache sets aside more memory for caching files. It is usualy only suggested for servers and is even discouraged by Microsoft for systems with AGP video cards, however, this is for systems with 512m of memory or less. I was just looking to see if anyone who plays high quality textured games has ever played with this option.

Bosaka is right, Large System Cache is the same thing as going into the advanced tab in system properties and selecting "Background Services" instead of "Programs". If your not running a server do not enable Large System Cache. It is either you give priority to apps, programs, games, ect. or you give priority to background tasks, processes, and services by enableing Large System Cache. It is disabled by default for a reason, the average home user is better served by giving priority to applications. On windows server 2003 however, Large System Cache is enabled by default for a reason, because it is meant to be a server based OS. In general this tweak will reduce physical memory available to applications and increase paging.
