It's the first topic in this sub-forum (AutoPatcher for Windows Vista). If you can wait until Tuesday or Wednesday, it will be released May's release with file detection fixed.

^ that is a big problem, and a weird one too :s i don't know how your going to solve this :( you could just use file existence (FileVersion=ANY,FileMD5=ANY) as long as the file name is the same, the only problem with that is if microsoft re-release a patch you won't be able to detect the difference between the original patch and the newer one...

I tested your suggestion, and it worked ("FileMD5=ANY" didn't work, but "FileMD5=" did), so it's what I'm going to use with Vista. :D

Well, with Vista, the registry path says which version of the hotfix we have installed, but even though, I prefer to use the .cat files, because we could have the same problem if/when the hotfixes would be slipstreamed.
