So i started my laptop and tried to browse my server but it says "The network path was not found".

I checked the server, thats fine, so i see if i can browse another machine, same error though.

I checked i can get internet, and its fine. I also opened outlook which recieved fine, however it complained about an error with the Business Contact Manager Database (Uses SQL TCP/IP so could indicate OS Problem)

I can't ping any computers by name or IP i just get "Ping request could not find host $Computer Name$. Please check the name and try again."

When i run nslookup i just get "Can't find server... Non-existent domain", for both servers.

In IPConfig it shows my IP as 192.168.0.154, Subnet mask as 255.255.255.0, Default gateway as 192.168.0.1, DNS Servers as 192.168.0.4 & 192.168.0.1.

This all correct!

I have tried renewing the IP which seems to work as the Lease obtained time changes. I have flushed the DNS Cache.

Now this is the intersting part. Even though i can't browse or ping a single computer, or use nslookup, I can use Remote Desktop Connection. If i type the IP address of a computer it will connect, but not if i type the computer name.

If i try tracert to svr01 i get "Unable to resolve target system name svr01"

I noticed when i ran IPConfig there were two connections, "Tunnel Adapter Teredo Tunnelign Pseudo-Interface" and "Tunnel Adapter Automatic Tunneling Pseudo-Interface"

When i open Control Panel its fine but if i try to open the Network Connections folder and explorer just crashes and wont restart without rebooting the computer. Also the network connection icons are missing from next to the clock, even the connection is enabled.

When i go to the network tab in task manager it crashes.

I have tried re-installing the drivers but that had no effect. Tried virus and spyware scans and both is clean.

I know quite a bit about networking but am completely stuck. Should i just give up and format again, or does someone know anything that might help?

Note that i need the computer working in 14 hours for a presentation tomorrow, so no pressure!

Thanks to anyone who can help
