How to capture / output / export Winamp visualizations to AVI?

Question

Hi everyone,

Quick question here, seems simple enough but really hasn't turned up some concrete results on Google other than some dead links to some winamp scripts. Anyway, I've got Winamp w/ AVS and I'd like to export some of the visualizations to AVI or MPG. No sound is necessary; I'd just like the video outputted. How do I do this (using free software)? I tried the trial version of Fraps but it wouldn't work with AVS for some reason.

Thanks in advance! :)

I was going to say Fraps, but it seems it didn't' work with you. Did you try to record while AVS in full screen? It should work I believe.

Also if you're using Windows Vista, the whole desktop interface can be video captured with Fraps since it's Aero 3D, and then you can cut the Winamp AVS part, don't know...

how about

http://www.camstudio.org/

CamStudio is able to record all screen and audio activity on your computer and create industry-standard AVI video files and using its built-in SWF Producer can turn those AVIs into lean, mean, bandwidth-friendly Streaming Flash videos (SWFs)
