phono
Hey, Deploying printers with W2k3R2 printer management works ok, but is there way to set that printer as default which i'm deploying? (if there already is default printer it will stay as default printer) Cheers! petroid
Login scripts can be used to set default printers for users and groups. The best way to assign login scripts is using policies. If you need help writing login scripts, be sure to ask! :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/563752-windows-2003-r2-print-management/#findComment-588588563 Share on other sites
phono
So i would need then as many login scripts than GPO's deploying printers. Or am i missing something? Guest
I create an OU for each office and place the computer accounts into each OU depending on their room. I then use a script to look which OU the computer is in and then assign them the printer for that room. You could also do the same for user accounts. I am not sure this is possible, and a start up script would probably be too much work to be feasible...
