Certificate Error: Navigation Blocked

Whenever I try to access Hotmail, via http://www.hotmail.com/ or directly through Messenger Live, I get this error.

It doesn't only happen with Hotmail, but with Gmail, Amazon, BankofAmerica, etc.

In short, most of the sites that use a certificate with passwords...

However, if I go to my wife's PC, I can access with no problems, or if I use Firefox on mine.

sounds like your certs are corrupted dunno how to fix this with vista :)

I went to Tools->Internet Options->Advanced and unchecked "Check for server certificate revocation" and this fixed it :/

:s There is one bit of a problem :s

I have to do this every time I open Internet Explorer 7.0 :cry:

Since this turns Protected Mode off, when it closes and re-opens, it's on again :(

Update: Even if I turn Protected Mode off and uncheck the aforementioned feature, I have to do this every time I open IE.

Is there anyone who knows how to definitely fix corrupted certificates?

Ok, this thing finally went totally dead. Now even after restarting IE, it's still checked and I definitely can't check Hotmail, Amazon, Bank of America, etc...

Well, I guess no one cares or know how to fix it...

I found the holy remedy: Tools->Internet Options->Advanced->Reset...

Let's see how long does this fix last :)

The only other thing I can think could cause a problem like this is your date and time being wrong.

I checked that and it wasn't it :/

Changed date on clock from 11 January 2009 to current date 11 August 2009 (battery low?) and now hotmail opens as usual. Go figure. Thanks, Jamesyfix
