Hmm, when I do that, the bitrate overlaps the album art and becomes unreadable.

Oh, I guess I forget to specify to put it after the existing entries under // Persecond, just right before the // Background

So it'd be something like this..

// Persecond
something
something(%date%
,
something
something
something
[%playback_time% / %length%]

Insert code here

// Background

Sorry I don't have the exact code for it. I've changed mine a bit (see below), so it probably doesn't have the same coding as yours

exoduspc1.jpg

I moved some stuff around a bit and threw in the Channel spectrum analyser.

I've also made my fonts italics, because the Swis721 font wasn't displaying well (and I didn't want to globally turn on ClearType through windows settings.)

I found that making it all in italics actually helps the look of the font.

I'll add dynamic bitrate to my new version so don't worry if you can't make it on your own.

this is the best set up I've ever seen, but I can't get the new one (1.03+) to work whenever I try and change to that panel in panelsui it immediately reverts to default.

Are you using the beta version of PanelsUI? (0.14.12 beta)

This new config doesn't work with the 0.13.8 version

If you don't have the newest beta, find the link on the first page.

thanks that was precisely the problem. But I have a few other problems:

this may be a ridiculously stupid question, but I can't figure out how to adjust the volume or drag on the seekbar, unless those features are unavailable.

I also can't figure out how to get the visualization to work, it still says unavailable in transparency mode.

Also, is there anyway to get the old backgrounds for transparency in this one? It seems like theres a lot less.

Thanks

OK I get few issues:

- Library constantly scans itself

- Sometimes volume- and seekbars just disappears. Scroll hide is buggy and sometimes I cant get that Scrollbar visible

- Visualisation won?t work

- Ratings won?t work

- everytime i close foobar i got these warnings/errors in this order:

metadb_handle leaks: 1 object

Runtime Error! Program C:\Program Files\foobar2000\foobar2000.exe

R6025
- pure virtual function call

PanelsUI-Root: foobar2000.exe - Sovellusvirhe

Poikkeus unknown software expection (0x40000015) sovelluksessa paikassa 0x0141af69

Lopeta ohjelma napsauttamalla OK

(that error is finnish)

http://img522.imageshack.us/my.php?image=s....png

"No function" problem i solved by myself. I am totally noo:(:(

Edited by foba

I answered my own questions to an extent:

Regarding Volume adjustment as well as seeking I didn't realize that there were keyshortcuts for both. So problem solved there but I would still be interested to know if there is a way to adjust them differently.

Other issues still pending:

Visualizations in transparency mode

Getting old backgrounds for transparency mode

I've also made my fonts italics, because the Swis721 font wasn't displaying well (and I didn't want to globally turn on ClearType through windows settings.)

I found that making it all in italics actually helps the look of the font.

please advice how to change font to italic or any other workaround. I've the same problem with cleartype, it makes foo look good, but the rest of the system is terribly blurred (which is strange because i use LCD monitor plugged via DVI). thanks

Haha, it was painful to find all the codes that manipulates the text. If I were to list them, it'd take me a while (kinda busy with other stuff too.)

I basically just found each $font code in each script and tested it if that's the code I'm looking for by trial and error.

It's really scattered around, and I don't really have to time to list them all at the moment. Sorry

But I can get you started by showing you where the code is for SCPL (non-transparent mode)..

Right-click on the single column playlist and choose "Settings." Then press the "Item Display" button.

Find the following code and insert the word "italics" where shown. (2 entries)

(this is towards the end)

$font($get(fontAVA),$get(fontAVAsize_3),,$if(%_isplaying%,255-255-255,230-230-230))
$alignabs($ifgreater(%tracknumber%,999,31,$ifgreater(%tracknumber%,99,27,22)),0,$sub(%_width%,105),%_height%,,middle)$if(%disc%,' '-Disc %disc%- ,)$if($meta_test(album artist),$font($get(fontAVA),$get(fontAVAsize),$ifequal($getpvar(blue),1,glow-0-180-220 glowexpand-1 glowalpha-120,glow-200-30-30 glowexpand-1 glowalpha-120),$if(%isplaying%,255-255-255,250-250-250))%artist%' - ')$font($get(fontAVA),$get(fontAVAsize),italics,$if(%isplaying%,255-255-255,250-250-250))%title%
$alignabs(-5,0,%_width%,%_height%,right,middle)$font($get(fontAVA),$get(fontAVAsize),italics,$if(%isplaying%,255-255-255,250-250-250))$if(%isplaying%,%playback_time%,%length%)

And just to give you guys a sample of what I'm talking about.. I've added some Screenshots:

This is what the Swis721 Cn BT D-Type font looks like in the old version of Panels UI, which had ClearType

oldpanelsay7.jpg

This image is with the new Panels UI (no cleartype :( )that is needed with FooAVA103+

newpanelsxm4.jpg

And this is how it looks in italics (yeah I didn't italicize the track#)

newpanelseditkr2.jpg

It's still not perfect, but to me it looks a bit better on the eyes.

Good luck finding the ones you want to change!

Can someone be nice and upload the Lyrics DB plugin? I Just get a connection error from the site on the front page.

Dude, try to ping http://lyrics.mirkforce.net/ ;)

Site don't work... So, no site -- no lyrics :(

Turn on "Lyric show component" option in the FooAVA config (second page) and you recieve another lyrics panel :)

For that album art in SCPL, right click go to settings. Make sure you're in "Group Display"

find and enter in this code.

    $drawrect(1,8,37,37,brushcolor-null pencolor-180-180-180)
    $imageabs2(33,33,,,,,3,10,images\fooAVA\art5.png,nokeepaspect)
    $imageabs2(33,33,,,,,3,10,$get(MyCoverPath),NOKEEPASPECT)
    $imageabs2(33,33,,,,,3,10,$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*.gif),NOKEEPASPECT)
    $imageabs2(33,33,,,,,3,10,$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*.png),NOKEEPASPECT)
    $imageabs2(33,33,,,,,3,10,$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*.jpg),NOKEEPASPECT)
    $imageabs2(33,33,,,,,3,10,$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*folder*.*),NOKEEPASPECT)
    $imageabs2(33,33,,,,,3,10,$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*front*.*),NOKEEPASPECT)
    $imageabs2(34,34,,,,,3,10,images\fooAVA\artoverlay.png,)
    $puts(xoffset,40)

All of those "$imageabs" codes are layering an image on top of each other. The first code being the "bottom of the stack" and the last code being the "top of the stack." So order them however you prefer it.

For truncating long track names.. I thought I knew a solution for that, but I forgot what it is. I'll try to look it up later.

edit: ok, same settings window..

Find and replace the bold line with the code below

$font($get(fontAVA),$get(fontAVAsize_2),italics glow-74-127-210glowexpand-0 glowalpha-50,220-220-220)
$alignabs($get(xoffset),18,$eval(%_width% - $get(xoffset) - 5),14,left,middle)
%album%

$alignabs($get(xoffset),18,$sub(%_width%,100),14,,middle)

Edited by stripedphantom

Thanks!

truncating worked but after playing a bit with the code i still cant get the album art to display.

noo3zc1.png

I should note that I'm pulling album art from a /covers/ folder inside foobar2k's folder. However MyCoverPath should be pointing to that already by default.

in Globals:

// Covers (front, back & artist) path
$setpvar(MyCoverPath,
$if(
$fileexists($replace(%foobar_path%\covers\%artist% - %album%.jpg,?,)),
$replace(%foobar_path%\covers\%artist% - %album%.jpg,?,),
	$if(
		$fileexists($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*front*.jpg)),
		$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*front*.jpg),
			$if(

				$if(
					$fileexists($replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*Cover*.jpg)),
					$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*Cover*.jpg),
						$if(

Hi,

The font's of FooAvA 1.03+ is very fuzzy and unclean! How can i use the font setting of the old Version (1.03) without the "blure-effekt"???

Fonts in 1.03+

i8j8rlof.jpg

Fonts in 1.03 imho are clean!

And this "style" (with cd-case) looks much better as in the current version... :o

    • Exactly, this is just the beginning. I hope that by that time, our inept politicians devise something like a Universal Basic Income, because unemployment and poverty rates will skyrocket otherwise. And believe me, robots that perform physical work aren't a matter of IF, but WHEN. No career is truly safe from AI/robots, it's just a matter of time.

Subtitle Edit 5.0.0 changelog: Subtitle Edit 5 is a major new release and a big step for the project. For the first time, Subtitle Edit runs natively on Windows, macOS, and Linux from a single, modern, cross-platform codebase. The builds are self-contained, so no separate .NET installation is required, and on macOS and Linux the needed media components (mpv/ffmpeg) are bundled in. Please read before upgrading: Subtitle Edit 5 is a new application, not just an update of Subtitle Edit 4. It has been rebuilt from the ground up to be cross-platform, so: It is not 100% the same app. The look, layout, and some workflows have changed. Some things are in different places, and a few behave differently than in SE4. Not every SE4 feature exists in SE5 yet. SE5 covers all the core editing, conversion, sync, video playback, OCR, and online services, but some of the more specialized SE4 tools are not available yet. Features will continue to be added. If you rely on a specific SE4 feature that is missing, please keep SE4 installed alongside SE5. The easiest way to run both side by side is to use the Portable versions of SE4 and SE5, which keep their settings separate and do not interfere with each other. Which version should I use? Subtitle Edit 5: recommended for most users on Windows 10 (22H2) or newer, macOS 12+, and Linux. Subtitle Edit 4: please continue to use SE4 if you are on an older Windows version (Windows 7/8), or on older / slower computers where SE5 may not run well. SE4 remains available and is the right choice in those cases. To run SE4 and SE5 at the same time, use the Portable versions - you can try SE5 while keeping SE4 as a fallback. • Google Pixel 11 series: Here's what to expect by Hamid Ganji Google Pixel 10 series In recent years, Google has successfully turned its Pixel devices into worthy contenders in the smartphone market. The search giant is now preparing to launch the Pixel 11 series in just a few months, and many Pixel fans are likely wondering what Google has in store for them this year. The next lineup of Google smartphones includes four devices: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. This year, we don’t expect Google to bring revolutionary upgrades to its handsets, and the Pixel 11 series is likely to receive modest hardware improvements alongside a slew of AI-powered features. Here are the rumored specifications of the Google Pixel 11 series ahead of its official debut: When will the new Pixel phones be unveiled? The last two generations of Google Pixel phones (Pixel 9 series and Pixel 10 series) were launched in August, unlike the previous three generations that debuted in October. With that in mind, we expect Google to unveil the Pixel 11 series sometime in August 2026. The exact launch date has yet to be confirmed. Google Pixel 11 CAD renders - Image via AndroidHeadlines How much will the Pixel 11 series cost? Predicting the final price of upcoming smartphones has become increasingly difficult. As you may know, RAM and memory prices are rising sharply, leading to significant increases in the cost of consumer electronics. Recently, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that price increases for some future Apple products are unavoidable, suggesting that the iPhone 18 series could become more expensive. Google has remained tight-lipped about any potential price increases for the Pixel 11 series. If the company manages to maintain last year’s pricing structure, here’s what the lineup could cost: Pixel 11: $799 Pixel 11 Pro: $999 Pixel 11 Pro XL: $1,199 Pixel 11 Pro Fold: $1,799 Given current market conditions, it may be difficult for Google to avoid raising prices unless it adopts cost-saving measures, such as equipping the base model with 8GB of RAM. Google Pixel 11 series anticipated specs: We expect the Google Pixel 11 series to debut with a new Tensor G6 processor as well as an upgraded camera system. The overall design, however, is expected to remain largely unchanged across the lineup. However, a patent filed by Google suggests the company is working on a removable battery for its smartphones, and we could see this feature make its way to the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Given that nearly all smartphones today lack removable batteries, such a feature would be a welcome addition to future Pixel devices. That said, it may not arrive with this year’s lineup after all, and the final decision is yet to be made by Google. The Pixel 11 series could also face an uphill battle in the market. In the Android segment, Samsung is performing well with the Galaxy S26 series, while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 lineup is also expected to launch next month. On the other hand, Apple is preparing to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in September alongside its first foldable iPhone.
