I managed to everything but File Operations (foo_fileops v2.0).

It come with foobar 0.9.5 beta. you don't need it to use this config.

VS? Visual settings?

It's window theme.

I don't know how to manually turn on ClearType.

Right click at desktop > properties > Appearance > Effects > tick at "Use the following method to smooth edge..." and choose "ClearType"

---------------

After more further investigate. I finally found that "Object Dock" is cause CPU spike i mentioned earlier. :(

Heya

Recently been playing around with the config again, found out that foo_uie_vis_channel_spectrum.dll was causing spikes in CPU usage when that panel was active. (was spiking above 20% CPU usage, while when any other panel was active the usage was <2% or when minimized it was pretty much 0% consistently).

Confirmed this by removing the component, CPU is much, much lower and more consistent. It was a nice eye-candy feature but definitely not mission-critical.

Cheers

Anybody know of a way to either replace something like the playlist tree with foo_uie_explorer, or just add it right in?

that's odd, it's stable at 0 and never goes above 2. only when viewing .lrc lyrics it reaches 6. are you using vista? I remember CPU going higher when I was on Vista.

Anybody know of a way to either replace something like the playlist tree with foo_uie_explorer, or just add it right in?

You mean, replace "album list" with something else? try these step.

1. right click at titlebar (the one that show playlist name, search button, etc) > setting

2. copy all the code (Alt+a) to 2 notepad. one is for backup in case of something go wrong.

3. use "replace" tool (edit > replace in notepad) in "find what" type "Album list" (case sensitive).

4. go back to panel ui setting, look for the "panel" button at the top of setting window, Hit it and click the drop down box below. list of panel name should show up. look for the name of panel you want to use. for example "quick search toolbar" will show up like "Toolbars / Quick Search Toolbar".

5. copy ONLY the name of panel. in this case, "Toolbars / Quick Search Toolbar" (also case sensitive) and paste in "replace with" in notepad that you edit. make sure there is no leading/trialling space in the word.

6. IMPORTANT check "match case" box and hit "replace all" and copy the code and paste it over the one in panel ui setting and OK to exit.

7. go to FooAvA popup setting. and check that you use "album list" in the setting2 page

8. check the panel if it work correctly or not. if so, you done. if it go haywire. don't sweat, just copy back the backup code and it should return like before. but it should work.

I suggest you try using the component and set transparent option off just for testing (by right click at sprectrum > config..) and see if the problem is gone, reduce or not. if it is, there is a way to fix it to use transparent mode with no cpu spike. if not, there maybe a conflict with another program. try shutdown your background program and see if it help or not. (I used to have it with object dock. right now it's no more than 2% with my aging PC)

How I can change that "default" text

If you mean changing only "playlist name" font. it's quite complicated since you have to manually edit the code in specific place.

and why I can't see the albums like u guys do, like album name year etc.. I just see the songs like..

Tried changing your sort / group type (right click playlist > sort / group by) and change playlist back and forth. tried the one that have "album" in it.

and if it's possible disable the scrollbar how I can do that? ;P

The "arrow" button above volume bar should do the trick.

Thanks BKT alot, put I didn't mean the font just the text like "default" to "music" or something... :) btw, how the f I will get that quicksearch thing workin, I can't search anything hmm... :I and is there a way to fix this problem now when I disabled the scrollbar the text goes to close the edge on rightside -> foo2kbw5.jpg

does it work with logitech setpoint?

i've been a winamp user at all times, but now i might consider switching

yes it does! you just have to assign the shortcuts on foobar's keyboard settings and on SetPoint. I use it for my G7 mouse.

put I didn't mean the font just the text like "default" to "music" or something...

It is playlist name. you can change it by hiting the " P " button at bottom of the screen to change to playlist switcher view (if it doesn't, it mean that you don't have column ui installed) double click at playlist or using context menu to change name.

btw, how the f I will get that quicksearch thing workin, I can't search anything hmm... :I

Did you have quicksearch installed? if not, go get it here.

and is there a way to fix this problem now when I disabled the scrollbar the text goes to close the edge on rightside ->

Strange.. it doesn't happen here. but i will give you a quickfix.

right click at playlist > setting

check the "Layout" box so that it's say "album" then, click at "Item Display" button.

Scroll down to the last line that doesn't have // in front of them, navigate to the end of the line (should have something like this > $if(%isplaying%,%playback_time%,%length%) ) and add space to the end of the line (just hit the spacebar ;) ). click apply and see if it's fix. adjust amount of space to suit your liking.

EDIT : ah... didn't see that it's happen the whole line.. this is strange.. maybe you can copy&paste the code from both group and item display and i will have a look at it.

Edited by BKT

Thanks got many things workin again, but but... that space addin thang is only doing it for the length of the song, but not how many tracks there are example "2 Tracks" and genre "Hip-Hop" those things are still over the edge...

EDIT: and when I search something and it founds it and then I go back to my playlist the scrollbar is back again, any fix for this?

Yes.. i just see it. sorry.

I can give you how to edit the code but the problem seem strange since it work fine here without have to edit it. both scroll hide and problem you mention. so this "workaround" might not be a good idea.

can you tried a "fresh" new install of FooAvA? do this by install FooAvA at some place else (desktop is a good idea) installer will create folder name "panelsUI" in there is a folder name "FooAvA" change name of this folder to something and move them in to "panelsUI" folder where you have installed foobar. and change the layout in preference > panel ui and see if it help?

not work? last solution here to find the problem that i can think. is install another foobar in a new location, install FooAvA there, and copy only Panel Ui component to the component directory. and test that the problem is solve. if so, it's mean there something wrong with your original setup.

if not, well.. here is the ugly solution.

Same thing as before, but instead of "Item display" go "Group display" instead find this line

$drawrect($get(xoffset),31,$eval(%_width% - $get(xoffset) - 5),1,$ifequal($getpvar(blue),1,brushcolor-0-0-0 pencolor-0-200-255,brushcolor-0-0-0 pencolor-255-50-50))

increase the value will make the "line" shorter. if it not get shorter. there is something wrong with your setup.

and find the line

$alignabs($get(xoffset),32,$eval(%_width% - $get(xoffset) - 5),13,right,middle)

%genre%*ADD SPACE HERE*

you can edit the value, or add space behind %genre% it's up to you.

and the 2 last line

$alignabs($get(xoffset),18,$eval(%_width% - $get(xoffset) - 5),13,right,middle)

%_itemcount%$font($get(fontAVA),$get(fontAVAsize_2),glow-20-20-20glowexpand-0 glowalpha-70,210-210-210) TRACK$ifgreater(%_itemcount%,1,S,)*ADD SPACE HERE*],

same as above.

I don't know why the scrollbar are acting like you describe. can't help you here, sorry. :(

Edited by BKT

OK thanks I got it working now, yeah thats sad thing that scrollbar does it act same with u if u use this cfg? One thing hmm when I start playing a song it starts count the time and it goes over the edge again if u know what I mean, where I can find that line?

EDIT: lol creepy, I deleted every items from my playlist and started again then everything was fine, scrollbar doesn't phuck with me either anymore :p thanks alot BKT u've been very helpful! One more thing again! Do u know how hard it wud be if there is a way to add how many items u have in your playlist somewhere?

EDIT EDIT: is there any chance to get Foobar2k like programs recognize it as Winamp?

And how that shorcut thing with SetPoint really gon work I tried to do something but didn't find anything lol... :I

EDIT: nono it doesn't work lol, when it needs the scrollbar it's fckd up again... :I same issue

Edited by eNeon

I'm glad that your problem are somehow solve

Do u know how hard it wud be if there is a way to add how many items u have in your playlist somewhere?

it's depend on where you want them to be.

If you want them in playlist switcher. that's easy, Just go preference > Column Ui > playlist switcher > in general tab. check "use title format for playlist title in panel" and put in some code. here the basic one.

%title%

$tab()

%size% items

%size% will show how many item in the playlist.

but if you are talking about showing how many item in active playlist somewhere in your main layout. it's not hard to get the number. all you need is foo_cwb_hook component (which you might already have) and the command is %cwb_activelist_count% This will give you the number of how many track in active playlist which you can place anywhere in your layout. you can even use it in playlist. tried paste it behind %date% or %title% to see what i mean.

The hard part is that, Where, When and How it will show. this part is quite tricky.

Yes I ment in main layout, hmm yapp ;I somehow this is so hard ;< FOOBARRR damn it!

I won't worry anything else nooow but this scrollbar thing if I can get it fixed somehow it will be good for me! :I need to start crackin this shhh down.

dawxxx666 i'm having issues with my foobar :(

I was using your 1.03 version, with the x.x.x.3 foobar and dragged and dropped all the plugins you said into where they're supposed to go, I shut foobar down, installed x.x.x.5, installed your 1.03+ exe to the appropriate folder, and restarted foobar. It runs fine, for a while, but now all it does is just crash all the darn time! I've tried turning off certain settings in the fooava preferences, but it hasn't helped.

also on 1.03 foobar would crash when I shut it down

First of all, a big THANK YOU for your config. It works well.

But I've two questions :

- Is it normal that I can't minimise my foobar to my traybar ? It don't even appear in the tray too (whereas I've ticked the "minimise to tray" and "always show tray icon").

- Do you know where the lyrics files are downloaded ? I searched in my music files, in foobar files, but nothing :(

Hi!

I would like to know if it's possible to solve a little problem i've.

When an album is an artist compilation in the list i get the album title from the first song artist TITLE, and would like to get, for instance, "Various" or "Mix".

So, i would like to know if there's a solution to that problem?

Thanks,

magnastik

If you are not using fooAVA, does it crash? Panel UI have some stability issue with some machine as far as I know.

It's not normal. But I can't help you cause it's work fine here.

- Do you know where the lyrics files are downloaded ? I searched in my music files, in foobar files, but nothing

Normally, It should write to file tag.

When an album is an artist compilation in the list i get the album title from the first song artist TITLE, and would like to get, for instance, "Various" or "Mix".

This is what "Album Artist" tag is for. Just tag your compilation album with something you want to show, like "Various" or "Mix" in "Album Artist" field.(using properties window) AND leave your ARTIST tag like before. (The artist of that track is in this field.)

First of all, really nice work dawxxx666! I love the design and I thank you for sharing this great skin! :)

This skin made me switch from wmp to foobar, but I'm a total noob at foobar. After following the guide to install it I could get it to look like you other guys have. After 3 clean reinstalls and tries I only get it to look like this:

my.php?image=fooavascrnshotmq5.jpg

The track list doesn't look at all like yours, and I've tried ticking every setting in your settings 1 and 2. How can I solve this?

EDIT: Don't know why my image doesn't appear so I'll post a link to my screenshot: http://img139.imageshack.us/my.php?image=f...scrnshotmq5.jpg

    • Hey Google, these are the Gemini features I want in 2026 by Aditya Tiwari Google Gemini has been around for over three years. The AI chatbot started its journey back in 2023 (as Bard) when ChatGPT was already a talk of the town. However, it quickly attracted criticism after misrepresenting facts about the James Webb Space Telescope. The search giant spent a year fine-tuning Bard before rebranding the chatbot and its underlying generative AI model to Gemini, drawing inspiration from NASA's first human spaceflight program. Note that Bard was initially powered by LaMDA and PaLM 2; Google has since added several new features and integrations to Gemini. That said, there is scope for improvement and a gap for new features. I have been using Gemini for a while now and have realized that the chatbot lacks several features, making it harder for me to research across topics. These are mostly function-over-form updates that can improve the overall experience. Delete individual messages from a conversation Image via DepositPhotos.com One good thing about Gemini is that it can maintain context throughout the conversation. But things might get chaotic when you want to ask a related question, but don't want it to be part of your conversation in the long run. You can't ask that related question in a fresh chat because Gemini will lose the active conversation context of what you're trying to research. If Google allowed you to delete individual question/answer pairs, you could simply ask about a sub-topic and remove it from the conversation to create a smooth flow of important stuff. Offline mode Image via DepositPhotos.com A big pain of using Gemini daily is that everything loads from the cloud. It takes time for your chats to appear, and you can't view your conversation history while offline. To get a better idea, you can open the Gemini app and see how it looks without an internet connection. While Gemini models run in the cloud, it wouldn't hurt if Google could store chats (at least the text part) on the device so we can refer to them when offline. Google can also offer a lightweight version of its AI model to help with basic drafting, summarization, and other tasks. It has the Gemini Nano model, which can perform on-device processing on Google Pixel, Samsung, and some other Android brands, but it's a system feature and not related to the cloud-based Gemini app. Make temporary chats permanent I can't thank Google enough for taking the time and effort to add incognito mode or temporary chat mode to the Gemini app. It lets you have conversations without worrying that the topics will end up in your chat history or used for model training (at least on paper). Google claims that it doesn't use your temporary chats to "personalize your Gemini experience or train Google’s AI models." However, the data is stored "up to 72 hours to respond to you and to process any feedback you choose to provide." That said, I often start researching something in a temporary chat, only to realize the chatbot's answer is good enough to refer to later. Sadly, Gemini doesn't have an option to make such temporary chats permanent. In other words, I won't be able to follow up on it if I close the temporary chat. I'm left with alternatives like copying the answers into notes or another app. My digital life will get a lot better if Gemini gets a button to make temporary chats permanent. Collapse answers for a cleaner view You're heavily invested in your research game and suddenly feel the need to go up in the chat to recall something. This is when the conversation thread starts to feel like an overwhelming, unending wall of questions and answers. What if Google added a way to collapse Q&A pairs in the Gemini chat thread? It would look quite clean and easy to navigate. You'll quickly get an overview of everything you have discussed with the chatbot. Add buttons to jump between messages Suggested mockup of the feature. This reminds me of a small but useful Gemini feature that Google could add to its chatbot: the ability to hop between prompts in a conversation. Just add simple up- and down-arrow buttons, similar to YouTube Shorts, so people can quickly scroll through the messages. A table of contents or Chat Overview It's hard to get a bird's-eye view of everything you have discussed with the chatbot during a lengthy conversation. This is where a table of contents, or Chat Overview, displayed at the top of the screen, possibly in a drop-down button, might come in handy. You'll be able to get an overview of the chat and jump between messages, serving as an alternative to the up/down arrow buttons. Temporary mode for Gemini Live Image: Google You can use Gemini Live to have real-time conversations with the chatbot, which feels like you're talking to someone in the same room. However, a downside is that Gemini Live doesn't work in Temporary Chat mode, so all your conversations end up in the chat history. Google should consider expanding the temporary chat mode to include Gemini Live. Default to a specific chat One thing that feels somewhat annoying to me is that Gemini always opens in a new chat, whether on web or mobile. Sometimes, you want to return to your last chat. Google can take cues from web browsers, which let you choose whether you want to go to a new tab or a specific web page(s). Gemini can also have options to default to a specific chat when reopened. That said, generative AI chatbots have endless possibilities given the vagueness of their work. You can mold them the way you want by attaching different connectors, adding custom instructions, and including source files. It remains to be seen what Google has in store for future updates and whether anything from this wishlist gets the green light. The search giant released a stream of new Gemini updates in recent months, including Gemini 3.5 Flash and Gemini Omni Spark, adding that it now has 13 products with more than a billion users each. What do you want to see in the Gemini app? Tell us in the comments.
    • Thank you for the post. Just a FYI that links to an outside site or promoting specific software is considered spamming here. Asking general questions is fine.
    • I have been thinking about AI detector tools as a software workflow rather than a single "AI score" widget. When someone pastes text or uploads a document, the UI can return a report with a probability-style score, sentence highlights, reliability notes, and limitations. The useful part is that it can point a reviewer toward passages worth reading again. The risky part is that a polished score can look more certain than it really is. For people who build or review web apps, what should happen before the user copies or exports that kind of report? The minimum I would expect is: A clear input boundary for pasted text versus document files. Limits shown near the workflow, including minimum text length and maximum file size. A report label that says the result is a signal, not proof of who wrote the text. Sentence highlights and evidence notes alongside the global score. Reliability notes when the sample is too short or lacks enough sentence variety. False-positive and false-negative caveats that remain visible in copied/exported summaries. I am trying to avoid the pattern where a clean report card becomes the whole product story. For AI detection, "review this evidence in context" seems more honest than "trust this score." Would you keep the warning text visible on every report, or make it collapsible so the main result stays easier to scan? Disclosure: I work on a small AI detector/reporting workflow, but I am intentionally not linking it here. I am asking about software and report design, not promoting a site.
