Michael Bisping vs Ken Shamrock at UFC 75

Recommended Posts

The Ultimate Fighter 3 light heavyweight winner Michael Bisping (13-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) will fight UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock (26-12-2 MMA, 7-6-2 UFC) — not Matt Hamill — at UFC 75 in London, England on Sept. 8.

That’s the report from The Fight Network.

Bisping was originally expected to face his former castmate Matt Hamill. Ticketmaster released an event description last week that included the matchup. Instead, though, Loretta Hunt says that Shamrock will come out of retirement to face Bipsing at the event, which takes place at the 02 Arena.

After topping Josh Haynes in The Ultimate Fighter 3 Finale, Bisping defeated Eric Schafer with a first-round TKO at UFC 66. Then, in front of a Manchester crowd at April’s UFC 70 event, he scored a second-round TKO of Elvis Sinosic.

Shamrock has been fighting professionally for nearly 14 years and competed in the very first UFC event. The submission specialist left the UFC for six years but ultimately returned to fight Tito Ortiz and then to coach a team on The Ultimate Fighter 3 last year opposite Ortiz. Shamrock’s 1-4 in the Octagon since his return, with three of the losses coming to Ortiz.

Bisping appeared on Ortiz’s — not Shamrock’s — team on The Ultimate Fighter 3.

Although the UFC has confirmed that Bisping will appear on the UFC 75 card, the organization has made no official announcement regardin:Dhis opponent.

Awesome :D

Are you kidding me? You are looking forward to Ken Shamrock getting face pounded by Bisping? It's not even confirmed yet, and Shamrock is only in negotiations to come back to the UFC.

Hamill was a much better fight. Superior ground game vs. Standup, I'd rather see that. Shamrock has been man-handled the same way in 6 outta the last 7 fights, on the ground. Bisping will throw him down and pound. I will say this, Shamrock has a better chance than most guys. He's a big strong guy, who can end the fight with one swing. So maybe it will be exciting. I just think Hamill-Bisping would have been better.

I think it will be awesome taking on someone with alot of big time experience thats what I meant...yeah Bisping is gonna be fitter and probably smack Ken around but who knows Ken might pull some old tricks out of the bag...

Yes, it is probably enevitable that Shamrock will get owned (remember Franklin?) But it'll be good to see Bisping put up against someone who's not unknown! :p

And yeah, like Rappy said, albeit it's unlikely, you never know what Shamrock can pull outta the bag. It only takes 1 punch...

Or a kick if your cropcop...

I am suprised lately tho with how quick the fights end in UFC...

Well it seems it was just a rumour...

Regarding rumors regarding the next UFC in London, England, Michael Bisping vs. Matt Hamill is still the scheduled match on that show. There are rumors regarding Bisping vs. Ken Shamrock, but that may have been discussed but it is not the current plan.
It isn't happening, Fight Network broke the story, and then everyone else picked it up, but the main story was that Shamrock is negotiating a contract, so I don't know who the hell he is going to fight, but it won't be at UFC 75.

He should stay retired imo...no offence to him he was great but now he can't cut it...

    • I like the show more options. The only problem with it is that it's not always in a consistent spot in the menu. If the copy/paste/cut, happens to show on top, then more option is the last in the menu. But if copy/paste/cut happens to show on the bottom, then more options is before the copy/paste/cut. But I do like the more options because it hides the stuff that I rarely use. But I would like to choose what it is or isn't hiding. That would make it better.
    • I wonder if "put it back the way it was for decades" ever crossed their minds? 🤣
    • Rescind the stupid "Show more options" in context menus and just give us the full menu instead of adding more steps to get to what we want. The "simpler by default" makes me think they'll go in the opposite direction. Every context menu should have a configure button so you can pick and choose what options should be shown, I know you can do that with some registry fu but that shouldn't be required.
    • This is why competition must exist. Finally, pressure is mounting on Microsoft to move in the right direction.
    • Microsoft is making Windows 11's context menus faster, simpler, and configurable by Taras Buria Five years ago, Windows 11 introduced redesigned context menus, offering users a simpler, more modern design. However, customers quickly discovered that the new menus leave a lot to be desired. Many are unhappy with performance (they are really slow), while others dislike the double-layed design, where many options are hidden behind the "Show more options" button. In addition, over the years, menus became cluttered and overloaded. While Microsoft has already fixed plenty of pain points across Windows 11, context menus remain mostly unchanged. Fortunately, Microsoft is finally listening. Marcus Ash, Design and Research Lead for Windows at Microsoft, responded to a tweet on X, confirming that the company is working on fixing Windows 11's context menus. Reworked context menus are supposed to be faster, simpler by default, and "configurable to what you use most." What the latter means is unknown, just like whether Microsoft plans to keep the classic menu alongside the modern one, but according to Marcus, the wait should finally be over soon, as he promised to "share our approach soon." Improved context menus will most likely appear first in Windows 11 preview builds in the Experimental Channel. While we wait for Microsoft to release them, you can try fixing context menus on your PC with a simple tool called Windows 11 Context Menu Manager. It lets you disable entries you do not need, not only cleaning up context menus, but also making them significantly faster. Microsoft has already improved Windows 11's Start menu and taskbar, so hopefully it will address user criticism of the context menu as well. Stay tuned for new Windows 11 preview builds, which usually arrive every Friday.
