I've tried every OCX register/unregister i could find relating to this error, nothing works. No solution yet, and absolutely no help from this forum... I think I'll try to find a crack that will allow me to do the updates through 'Windows update'. Good luck, CLG Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/569689-installation-problem-error-0x1ad/#findComment-588810580 Share on other sites

PsiMoon314
Hi, That error is not very common and generally relates to running software on a PC which is part of a domain. I would guess this is a permissions issue. Do you have permission to run software or install software to the folder you are using? Are you logged on as a Vista Administrator? Logon with an account which is set as an Admin. Do you have UAC enabled or disabled? If you have UAC disabled this could actually be the cause of the issue. Re-enable it and then try AP again. Kind Regards Simon Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/569689-installation-problem-error-0x1ad/#findComment-588811294 Share on other sites
